Best Active 6th Round Pick Team
Yeah, lines could be way differently. As I said on one of my other round teams, I was more focused on picking the top 15 forwards, top 8 D, and top 3 goalies. But def comment on the lines you would choose. Please check out my other lines for each round. I'm still working on a team for Rounds 7-9 and a team for undrafted players. Should be up by later today or tonight. I will also do teams best active drafted players for 30 teams (excluding Vegas- not enough active players)

Yeah, I mean, the lines aren't that important. It was more picking 15 forwards, 8 D and 3 goalies

3rd, maybe 2nd is what they'll get for somebody who is not likely to sign with them after his senior year at Harvard. Sabres traded a third to Preds for Jimmy Vesey

Merkley is falling...and I wasn't being "crafty" with McCleod to NJ. He will go in that range and why would the Devils not take him?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FullSend</b></div><div>Wild Card for sure, I can almost see him be picked by one of the California teams, where he’s from.</div></div>
I could see that. I just think that might be too early. But then again, Henrik Borgstrom was ranked as a 2nd rounder and he went to Florida at 23 in 2016 and he could win the Hobey Baker this year.

2018 Mock Draft 1.0
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>FullSend</b></div><div>New York islanders really need RD to lean on in the future, or a nice shut down LD, so I don’t think they pick a forward, I think Dobson is a perfect pick. Besides, Kupari shouldn’t be a top 10 pick anyways, after that pointless WJC and not producing much in the Liiga like his countryman Koktaniemi is doin, but he’s such a skilled player. Also Merkley’s Defensive game alone and rumored locker room character has him being the darkhorse of the 2018 draft, don’t see top 10 pick for him by any means. Elite offense, speed, IQ, agile, will get him 15-45, he’s just not good with his stick, loses battles, needs to work on defending odd man rushes, being on a bad team isn’t helping him. Reminds me so much of a young PK Subban, but could end up being a Ryan Murphy, who knows.</div></div>
Thanks for the comments. Good insight. Appreciate it. I actually was in debate about both picks you mentioned, so I totally agree. My obvious wild card is Tampa at 31 with Slava Demin. I'm sure he won't end up going in the first round, but with the recent success of both the University of Denver and Jim Montgomery players (Danton Heinen, Will Butcher, Henrik Borgstrom, Troy Terry, Dylan Gambrell, Ian Mitchell), I think he's an interesting wildcard. He was also ranking 32 for NA Skaters in the mid terms.

Obviously with the Kreider injury and the fact we're starting to pick it up we likely won't be sellers. However, theoretically, I do like all of those moves to acquire picks. The only change I would make is to grab a prospect or two in one of those scenarios

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>BreKel</b></div><div>McQuaid in the top 4, now that Boston has 2 top 4 RHD's, doesn't give me any good feelings. MAYBE it's an option to start, but I don't see this lasting long.
LW spot seems like a hole with Vatrano there. I think he's one that needs to prove more consistency on the 3rd line before you can throw him into a top 6 role. JFK needs time in Providence and he doesn't seem to be a good option for RW. Let him play big minutes in the AHL at center, where Boston will need him down the road.
Minor nit-picking, but I'd prefer Agostino (or a veteran signed off a PTO) as an extra forward over Cehlarik. If PC doesn't make the team, he should be continuing to develop full time in Providence. He has potential and he will not reach it being an extra forward. Even Kuraly not playing regularly makes me 'meh' but it makes more sense with his upside being limited. If Kuraly made the roster as the extra, I'd want him playing. I like his game a lot. Size, speed, and grit.</div></div>
