Oilers 21-22
I would say the cost is two 1st round picks as Neal has 2 years left.
And they would rather have 2022 and 2023 as they are projected to be stronger drafts.

Neither guy has played a single NHL game!</div></div>
Sieder has been manhandling men in the SHL and was 1 of the best D-men in the league. You should look up some of his clips. And the SHL is the real deal, probably 2 or 3rd best league in the world. That's why the Wings fan base have so much faith in him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jgimp69</b></div><div>Too much potential in Perfetti to make a trade for that kind of return. Detroit adds a lot.
That is why a Perfetti/Seider trade is so polarizing in my view. So much risk for both teams and both appear to be top line players (potential anyways) A trade like that could pay dividends for both. Detroit D depth is a plus and can (afford to gamble) to get that high end C that they are missing. Wings fans say that Seider is untouchable because of his potential, but forget that Perfetti has that exact same potential! I only added Samberg and the pick as the overpay to try to get them to bite. The value favours Detroit by a large margin IMO but completely understand the view that he is untouchable.
If Detroit wants that high end C, you either need to draft him, or trade with something that would hurt, same as Winnipeg if they want that high end D, and the same with every other team.
At least you guys are setup well this year and next to try and draft that top end C and LD you need.</div></div>
I do agree that both players are close to untouchable, but the value in my opinion goes to Sieder. He is definitely more of a sure thing and is a RD. Perfetti could still end up being a LW that can't skate fast enough and can't play the physical game. The picture would be alot clearer in a year, to see if they start reaching their potential on the NHL. If Perfetti makes the team.

Don't know much about him, but looking him up. 22 years old, 3 years of NCAA and a year in the AHL. Probably not as established of a player that we would be looking for at that age. And in the reality of trading Hronek it is probably a year or so to early as our RD prospects are still pretty unknown.

That's why I would entertain trading Hronek for Perfetti. In the hope that he would GROW into our 1 or 2C

Would a Copp+ small add be enough for Hronek? Hronek is a bit older and may not fit your rebuild timeline. Copp comes in, becomes a team leader, playing for him hometown. Just a thought</div></div>
I wouldn't think so. Copp is 26 and is what he is. Would he make our team better yes. But Hronek is probably gonna end up being our 2nd pair RD and a really good 1 at that. If we were to move him it's for someone that can grow into our 1 or 2C or 1 or 2 LD. And be in the age group of 18-23

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jgimp69</b></div><div>Perfetti is trending to be a C just on his IQ alone. It’s ridiculous. His foot speed was suspect at draft time but he has already worked on that and is noticeably better already. I would imagine he would start at wing then move to C as he acclimated to the game, many C’s have gone that route</div></div>
Ya definitely. Perfetti also done well in AHL. If you are looking for RD, I would offer Antti Tuomisto and 2022 2nd, plus probably more. Tuomisto isn't as hyped or as physical, but is trending very well. RD, 6'3, 195LB 20yrs old, 2nd rounder in 2019.
Might even consider moving Hronek for Perfetti. As RD for us is actually well stocked.

It definitely is asking alot, the thing with them is they are all wingers, which is our strongest postion. And Perfetti as far as I still know has suspect skating. Is Perfetti was a sure fire center the add would be alot less. Also with us being as bad of a team as the Wings our asks are gonna be big.
I would have liked to try and steal Ehlers last year when his valve wasn't so high.

I agree at the moment Scheifele has more valve but he is 28. But maybe not in 2 or 3 years. If he was 5 years younger Scheifele is exactly what we need.

I would figure it would start with 1 of Connor, Ehlers, or Dubois, then Perfetti as well. RD are still the most coveted pieces teams are looking for. And by all signs Sieder is gonna be a great 1. Or maybe Scheifele + less than Perfetti. Scheifele is a bit old for our timeline thou.

(CBJ/WPG) - Dubois and 3rd for Laine, Roslovic
I first thought it's a win for Columbus. Thought even in a 1 for 1 the Jackets should've thrown in a 2nd. And Roslovic is worth a 2nd by himself.
But looking into it more it looks closer to even. Dubois is signed for 2 years compared to Laine's 1. Dubois's qualifying offer is about 1 million less. Both fill a need, Dubois is the Jets long term answer to a real 2C and Laine will improve the Jackets scoring. Dubois will play a more open game with more skilled players, while Laine will have a tougher time scoring with Columbus's centers and defensive game, but he gets to be the number 1 option. So a 1 for 1 seems fair. Roslovic is worth more than a 3rd thou. But we will see how everyone performs and if they stick around. Al in all its a exciting trade and should be fun to see how it turns out.

My idea was to make the team better, nobody wants another 17 win season. And Dzingel, Grabner, and Baertschi could possibly fit in and get us some wins. All are relatively young and 1 year remaining so can be flipped at the deadline.

Swap Bennett for Jankowski, retain 50% on Green, and remove one of the picks.

But I would love to give Bennett a shot to be 2 or 3rd line C.

Wings
As a fellow Wings fan I would definitely make that trade.
Neal for Abby + 3rd on it's own is almost a fair trade. Abby is what he is, Neal at least has the ability to bounce back. Both contracts are for 4 years, yes Neal is 1.5M more a year. If Neal fails to have a bounce back season, retaining 50% you have a chance to move him which would be impossible with Abby.
So you have Helm for Frolik and Brodie. Helm is a 3/4 liner, while Brodie has been top pair D and Frolik is a 2nd liner. Helm has 2 years left, while Frolik and Brodie are both on expiring contracts and could be flipped for multiple picks and prospects if they don't fit in.
IMO Frolik is a underrated player and would fit with with Athanasiou. Brodie could play top 4 and could move Green is he is healthy.
So you get out of 2 very hard to impossible to move contracts for a 3rd, and in return you get 1 bad contract and 2 players that could be very sought after at the trade deadline. Sounds like a win to me.
