(STL/DET) - Fabbri for De La Rose
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>HabsForEver</b></div><div>It was a clear win for Detroit the minute the trade was made. De La Rose was and isn't going to be anything more than a 4th line PKing center.</div></div>
The Blues knew they got the less valuable player when they made the trade, the fit with the coach was just not there so they got a player that fit better with the Blues. They like Fabbri as a player and person so they put him on a team that is seeing a turnaround with Stevie Y coming in, and a team that will play a style that he would thrive under. They put him into a position to succeed while also putting him out of their conference because they are not stupid. These type of player conscious decisions are a reason that players love to play in St. Louis, and why people that grew up with the club like Pat Maroon respect the organization enough to take a pay cut to come here. David Perron has been moved out of St. Louis 3 times for hockey and personal reasons but each time when he had a choice he choose to come back to St. Louis because its a first class organization for players. Hell Patrick Bergland got moved out and he hated Buffalo so much compared to St Louis that he wouldn't play for them at all. Teams that treat players well vs teams that treat players poorly right there. Look at Ryan O'Rielly, people called him a soft player that was a crybaby, really he worked for an organization that treated its players like **** and when he got moved to a class A organization like St. Louis we all saw the difference in effort and productivity. Underrated aspect of hockey.

Fair, only referencing all of the possible positions it could go to.
(It could also be 17 if Habs make it to round of 16*)

I mean look at it. Drafts McAvoy - awesome. Drafts Senyshyn - disaster. Pastrnak deal - wonderful. Backes deal - abomination. Marchand contract - great. Beleskey contract - horrid. It seems 50-50 very good very bad.

Nick Ritchie is trash. Give me a very good defensive forward that can play LW/RW, up and down the line whose "soft" over a 6'2 out of shape bust that is best suited as a 4th liner.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Sagecoll</b></div><div>Why are you picking the Rangers as a target for 2 players signed for less than 3 years? Neither makes sense. But also it's laughably off in value.
Realistically this trade would look something like
Rakell + Lindholm for Strome + Trouba. With maybe minor additional pieces after that.</div></div>
Yea ok.
Lindholm is Miles Better than Trouble
DeAngelo would be a better start(not by much though)
I wouldn’t 100% say Strome is a product of Panarin, but I’d rather Rakell by a mile
To me idk what would accually be in the trade 100%. Ik Nils Lundkvist would be in there, don’t know the rest, but not Strome and Trouba

That's a little stretched.</div></div>
Lindholm = the first and Lundkvist, plus a little more; Lundqvist has to come with something for our trouble; the other two guys won't see the inside of an NHL arena without paying for their tickets.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>dca919</b></div><div>Then you're choosing the wrong team to trade with as Bolduc would not be in the top 5 of Detroit's team going forward.
All higher picks with higher upside: Filip Hronek (53rd overall) currently plays on the 1st pairing, Moritz Seider (6th overall), Gustav Lindstrom (38th & 2nd pairing currently), Dennis Cholowski (20th), Jared McIsaac (36th), Antti Tuomisto (35th), and probably Drysdale (4th) in this year's the draft.
Then there are prospects equal to Bolduc in Detroit's system: Albert Johansson drafted 3 spots later. Kasper Kotkansalo drafted 4 spots later in a previous draft.
I think you're being the Homer and valuing a 19 year old that hasn't even made it out of the Q yet way above his potential. Has he even played on a Hockey Canada team?</div></div>
Cholowski was below replacement level this season. Mic saad will probably be better than bolduc, tuomisto is not a better prospect than bolduc.
Bolduc was 8th among Dmen in points this season, has elite skating ability, which for his size is impressive. He’s also solid defensively and has a great slap shot. He signed a 3 year ELC and will be playing in the AHL next season.
It would make no sense to draft drysdale with hronek and Seider on the right side.

We have no need for Gustafsson, so take him and the Boston first out. Make the 2022 second a 2021 second and you have a deal.
