Lindholm = the first and Lundkvist, plus a little more; Lundqvist has to come with something for our trouble; the other two guys won't see the inside of an NHL arena without paying for their tickets.

I think Lindholm's value is more than a mid-round first and a player, and Rakell's value is a late first and a player or A prospect. King Henrik's cap hit is so large that he's almost a negative on the trade market (but he's worth less than a third going out). So I could see the 2020 first, the 2021 first, Lundkvist, Lundqvist and Kravtsov.

I disagree on Henrik. He’ll be our backup so it’s not like one of those salary dump deals we actually have a use for him..... Plus getting these pieces helps us down the road. Hank has a year left Like Backes so I’m cool with it. If we ask for more I’m sure the rangers just cut the deal off.

Value is okay, but of the 3 players coming to SJ, Strome is the only one I see making an impact and worth trading for. The other two don't address any of our needs. From what I can tell, Huska has dropped off pretty significantly from his NCAA days and Rykov is nothing more than a future bottom pairing defensman at best. We have quite a few goalies who can put up at least an .894 in the AHL, and certainly have enough 7th defensman options.

Gambrell imo is more valuable and has a much higher ceiling than the both of them combined.

For that reason, if I'm Doug Wilson, I probably decline this one, or at least modify it so that we keep Gambrell and don't acquire Huska.

I mean he's really good, but Thrun was one of the best DY+1 D men in the NCAA, and is a very good DFD, Fowler is you know Fowler, solid 3/4, and I'm a massive Mahura fan, you're not gonna convince me me doesn't have solid top 4 potential lol
