Two seasons of a starters load.
It's a good thing I'm not a GM. *Looks around* You aren't either.
You can't make an argument that will work because you can't make Saros play more games per season in the past.
I know you probably made a pretty sum from defending Evander but you're not going to win this case.
Sure fire elite goalies play 60+ games per season. Saros has 2. 2 is not a good sample size.</div></div>
what are you even on about. if anything, two seasons where he completely stood on his head while managing the workload and STILL being a top goalie in the league is enough of a sample size.
and his prior season aren't anything to write off considering he was still putting great numbers lol.

My brother in Christ, both of those two seasons he was a vezina candidate. Not to mention, playing 286 games isn't a "small sample size"
Saying he's not a "sure fire elite goalie" because he only has two 60 game seasons in an attempt to discredit the fact that he's cost controlled, 27 years old, and a top 3 goalie in the league, is one hell of a take.
In one post, you argue that he's great, in another, you completely discredit him because of what... two 60 game seasons?
You're all over the map.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Victor24</b></div><div>The package will be massive? You may be correct. My argument is not that Saros isn't great.
PLEASE STOP TELLING ME HE'S GREAT. I KNOW.
He has two years of a starters workload. Two. TWO. 2. Dos. Deux. Wota. II. Duo.
I agree elite goals rarely get moved. I believe Saros could get moved because Nashville is going nowhere fast. If that happens, the package will be (at most) what the OP said. Likely less.
But hey, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I am more than willing to talk about interesting trade ideas but please don't argue Saros has been great in his 4 starting years. I agree.
Thank you.</div></div>

What of that is as small of a sample size as you're making it? This isn't a goalie who had one 30 game season with good stats.
Two years of a starters workload carrying a wild card team on his back.
"But when you're demanding a massive return, the GM better be SURE. I am not SURE."
It's a great thing you're not a GM then lmao.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>gmgb</b></div><div>Saros has played 40, 36, 67 & 64 games in the last four seasons. I don't think you can fault him for not breaking the 40 game mark in the two covid shortened seasons. He did pick up Hart and Vezina votes in 20-21, when he played in 36 of NSH's 56 games. It's not like he wasn't a clear cut #1 then.
I can't imagine NSH accepting less than the OP's offer for Saros (and they likely still say no to it, if they're adamant about not trading him).</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Victor24</b></div><div>I have this fight about Saros and Demko all the time so I'll cut it off at the pass. Yes, both goalies look good and could very well be elite. Their problem is in games played. Saros has 2 seasons of >40 games (Demko has 1). Sample size plays a factor.
We can disagree if you'd like but the numbers (while great) are not a large enough size to be called elite. And not elite goalies don't fetch as much as you'd think in trades.
If Saros has another strong season with 50+ games, he would be worth more. But, then again he would only have 1 more season of control. So...</div></div>
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dunphy66</b></div><div>That’s just a crazy take brother lol you can’t dock him for backing up Rinne. He’s got 286 GP in his career, a 2.58GAA & a 9.19sv%
Saros saved 46.7 goals above expected this year, that led the league. Last year he was 6th, the year before that - 5th. Whoever you’re having this fight with about him, stop having it because you are wrong lol</div></div>
<img class="for_img" src="https://cdn.theathletic.com/app/uploads/2023/01/03132402/Screenshot-2023-04-03-at-12.52.56-PM.png" alt="Screenshot-2023-04-03-at-12.52.56-PM.png">
You'd think the goalie with a career .919 and a 40+ GSAA on the season would fetch a big package, huh?
Your logic is flawed. Elite goalies rarely get moved, because teams don't opt to trade them (and Nashville probably wont either).
But if Trotz decided to make him available at this years offseason, the package would be massive.
"Could very well be elite", bro, he IS elite LOL

I don't even know what you do with this team. Carter's probably not waiving to go somewhere else, Dumoulin is the next best option to dump but he's got some control over where he goes, so can you even move him?
I just don't get the vibe here. The bottom 6 feels like you've paired offense-first centers with defensive forwards, the D-corps is iffy, and they've only been as good as they are through the combination of 87/71 and Jarry, it feels like.</div></div>
He is one of the worst GM's . He has absolutely no plan. He has hired his friends and family to run the entire team. Our director of pro scouting has 1 year of scouting experience and a few years of being an AHL coach. He has turned this organization into a joke.

Maybe because Minnesota has 8 mil in cap room, and is in cap hell because of Parise and suter buyout. Minnesota has Better player in Beckman who will fight fir roster place. The Parise abd suter buyouts go up every year. Plus you are forgetting the Same front office who traded him is still here

Erik Karlsson Offers, Pittsburgh Penguins.
It's really not horrible but I just feel like they could get way more from a team like Tampa. They have so many top young guys like Sergachev Point Foote Howden Raddysh Joseph Katchouk.... They could package a few of those guys to Ottawa and that'd be a much better deal for Ottawa. Quality over quantity I'd say.
