Andersson to Utah
That'd be very tempting for Calgary. 6th overall should get them a pretty good D prospect and moving Andersson for futures practically ensures another top 10 pick next year.

Actually he did. He has a full NMC not for the first year but for every year after the first. They can trade him anywhere they want next season, after that they can't trade him at all unless he agrees.

Minimum it would cost Leafs
Hard pass for the Leafs. Absolutely no chance the Leafs give up Marner and Knies and Minten. They have no FWDs left for the future for one. For another. This is a massive overpay. If they move Marner, Knies and Minten and Cowan basically become untouchable. If Calgary paid a 3rd team to eat a bit of Markstroms contract, maybe TO would do Marner for Markstrom 1 for 1. Maybe. But CAL doesn't have the cap space to take him. And TO isnt going to give up anything else of value to them in order to get a middling D man who is only being thrown in to make the cap work for them. They would be better off just going to ANA or NASH for a goalie if thats what they really wanted. They wouldn't have to do those teams any favors to get them out of cap trouble. CAL is stuck in their cap problems unfortunately. As the Leafs are. Thankfully the Leafs have 2 guys coming off the books in the next 2 years. If they dont move Marner first that is.

Only Way Marner Waives his NMC
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>Marner would resign. I'd almost rather walk away from him next year than take on Dubois, even with that return. But I know we could move him to the Habs for a 7th lol</div></div>
Yeah, I think the probability that he would resign in LA would be pretty high. But then you have to consider the issue of how bad his next contract will be. Knowing Marner, It certainly won't be reasonable, so LA would have to be comfortable heavily overpaying a winger.
I'm not sure on Dubois, I can see him turn it around and still be a decent player. Maybe not worth his contract, but still a decent player. I also doubt LA is willing to throw the towel in on him already.

whats rossi worth
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Dutchies</b></div><div>Not sure why MIN would trade him right now. He had a decent season, but has a high ceiling. At this point they wouldn't get a top end top 6 talent for him, and a high prospect sets them back. I say let him develop in their top 6. Hopefully he and Boldy can grow a connection and put up a ton of points in the future.</div></div>
My thoughts exactly. But apparently, the front office wants him gone. I don't know why...

Shane Wright trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>penguinswin</b></div><div>Not sure this is the right deal for these teams. SEA hasn't completely given up on Weight yet, though his development path is easily questioned. And PIT probably doesn't see Wright worth both of those assets.</div></div>
20 goals, 43 points and +5 in 56 games in his first "full" AHL season ... 3 goals and 4 points in 6 NHL games this year. I can guarantee the Kraken have not given up on him, and Dubas would be an idiot not to make this trade.
At the very least, Rakell's contract off the books just makes room to make a better UFA signing to help next year's playoff push, if that's the direction the Pens want to go.
