<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>Yeah, i wonder if he would keep Winnipeg off his NLT since they virtually don't need him, unless something happens to Helleybuyck, but it's possible that he's too scared to take chances. I think Toronto is a team that can go for him, and he might not mind but he could probably bet on BOS not trading him in division perhaps unless it's to BUF, DET, or OTT. Don't see MTL having interest but again maybe he takes no risks. Knocking out those Metro teams like CLB, PHI, and NJ would be key. The rest got top-10 goalies but CAR could still be a possibility but he can't block them all. I think SJ and CHI could be left off since they probably won't give up the assets to acquire him. If he was a cap dump then those two would be teams to block, since they could dump him there and then he'll probably want to go about anywhere after that. He probably leaves DAL, COL, and maybe VGK unblocked.</div></div>
Chicago would concern me if I were him. Boston could require Taylor Hall and they have a lot secondary picks in this draft. It’s an easy jump for them to think he could pay off more in a flip at worst.
Also, teams with inferior goalies to him that could flip them to a team with a bad one (like Colorado) would also be a concern.
My guess is his list is basically most teams past the central time zone and select Canadian teams that suck in the East though the demarcation point between Detroit, Ottawa, Jersey, and Philly might not be as big as fans perceive
He.could add a Vancouver, Winnipeg, Toronto, or Vegas to potentially remove some bad record options. That said, an injury could change that perspective real quick

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SNipeSHowInc</b></div><div>Bunting and Graves no. I'm just pointing out what the Leafs would have interest in... As all those assets help the leafs...

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>Yeah, he'll have to be strategic with his NTL next year to try to stay put.</div></div>
He can be strategic to a degree, but it will increase his geographical or team quality considerations. My guess is he has west coast teams on his NTC along with most Canadian teams.
Maybe he adds a Toronto, to a trade able team so he can remove a Columbus. Maybe he adds a Winnipeg, so he can remove a Chicago.
I am curious to see how it plays out, but there are enough teams in the list to make a trade.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>If he likes what he sees there, it's not farfetched to think that he may waive to play out the final year of his contract. He seems to have no interest in leaving in general, so I don't think he'll go without a fight, maybe at the TDL it happens.
I don't see him being traded to the Oilers in a package for Draisaitl. I'm sure in that case, Edmonton would become even less appealing.</div></div>
He’s happy in Boston and does not want to leave. He may not have a choice but as long as he does he will exercise it. Edmonton is on the list primarily due to location and it’s not like they can fix that.

Zito will re-sign Montour, He's already in talks with his agent which is being reported. And Reinhart will go elsewhere. Zito already re-signed Forsling and he'll get a deal done with Montour as well.

Brandon Montour signs that here in Florida not Toronto.
And if Brett Pesce won't sign that low ball offer in Carolina, he sure as hell isn't signing that in Toronto.

Yes, it is in fact that hard, because the other team has to agree to the trades. For example, the Jackets have no use whatsoever for Robertson and are not about to pay any assets for him.

BOSTON BRUINS 2025 STANLEY CUP CHAMPIONS w Ullmark
Pick #34 is decent value for Lysell. Hawks might consider that. But they have a number of smaller, speedy forwards drafted in the past two drafts, so Lysell might be redundant at this point organizationally.

I don't think Reinhart is leaving potentially $40 million on the table just to play for the Bruins on a shorter term deal and leave them with 1.4m in unused cap space

Realistic Trades - NO ONES UNTOUCHABLE
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>Why are you assuming that there would be a bidding war? Ehlers is a second-line top 6F (arguably higher-end) who is highly skilled but doesn't have any skill set or trait that would make him highly sought (as opposed to Trouba), the fact that he's injury prone doesn't help. I'm sure WPG would have options but so would other teams whether it be via free agency (some better, some worse) or the trade market with the likes of Necas and Marner potentially being available to them.
He doesn't need a contract like Fiala (who was coming off a much better season than Ehlers) or PLD, and there really isn't a need for him to rush into an extension. 1) Ehlers might not get traded to a place that he knows for sure that he would want to re-sign. 2) More importantly, if he produces at PPG or even 70+ with his new team he'll move to a higher pay grade.</div></div>
I’m basing it just based off of the number of fanbases that have made posts about acquiring him. Islanders, caps, pens, Sens, Utah, Seattle, Jersey, leafs, bruins, Habs, Sabres. I’ve seen posts from all these fanbases about acquiring him. I think he may make sense for the blackhawks too if they want to be better for Bedard.
With time on PP1, that he doesn’t get with the Jets, he easily goes point per game so I agree that he may not want to sign an extension but maybe he does. Nobody knows but him.
Anyhow, it is similar that there is one year of team control remaining.

Is this team better with Saros and Domi or Marner
I have no confidence Saros would preform better than combo of Woll or any FA goalie we could sign for ~ $2.5M. Position is voodoo and he’s coming off a down year. Freeing up Marner’s cap would allow you to address 2 areas of priority (probably RHD) but you’re losing PP1/PK1, 95-100 points and 20+ minutes a night - we shouldn’t overlook how important he has been

Canes Fans Speak Up
I don't see the Canes doing this for Hronek or for Ullmark. Either of those trades would be bad asset management and just aren't something this front office is known to do. Why trade for a defenseman that wants upwards of $7 million per year and probably more like $8 million when we have two of our own UFA defenseman that would sign for less than that ($6-6.5 million) and are both better than Hronek? Why trade Necas for a goalie when we have a logjam at goalie already and would then need to replace Necas' production after trading him for a goalie. Neither of them make sense.

Realistic Trades - NO ONES UNTOUCHABLE
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GMBL</b></div><div>Honestly, the ghost thing would mean nothing in the trade negotiations but his injury-prone status (although he was healthy last year) would probably limit his return to something like a 1st+3rd. That being said JimmyJets makes a good point that if this is happening in the off-season, they might as well ask more for him than they can get at the TDL, especially since they aren't expecting themselves to be sellers. 10 OV would probably be the type of overpay that they would like, maybe (they get a player that will be under team control but won't help them any time soon), but don't see NJ doing that. I don't think they would even want to add to Ehlers to make it fair since that pick is probably not going to help them anytime soon. Mercer+ seems more reasonable, I don't think it would be a 1st (NJ wouldn't accept), but that would make sense for WPG to get a player that they can lock to a long-term deal. Perhaps Mercer+ two 2nds (not worth it IMO for NJ though). A the end of the day though, got to remember that Ehlers is a top 6 F on a team that's trying to win the Cup, if he's not made available by them, he's going to cost more to pry out despite his contract situation.</div></div>
Winnipeg's Athletic reporter literally has said he's being shopped by the jets. No team in the NHL would give them a player like Mercer for him let alone adding

Realistic Trades - NO ONES UNTOUCHABLE
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tupty</b></div><div>I think Ullmark will likely get somewhere between 2025 1st rounder (perhaps conditional) and a 2nd+3rd rounder (or equivalent prospect for one of those picks, like Holtz). The actual return will ultimately depend on the market.
The floor for an acceptable return on Ullmark dropped significantly when Swayman had such an outstanding postseason, but the market will still decide if the return is closer to the floor or the ceiling. At the end of the day, he is still a top half of the league starting goaltender in his prime. If Ullmark wants to play hardball with his 15 team no trade list, that might also drop the value of the return.
In most of my ACGMs, I pencil in a 2025 1st because I am a Bruins fan. Many Devils fans seem to pencil in a 2nd/3rd. None of us actually know where Ullmark is willing to go and how many teams are really considering a trade for him. We'll just have to see where it ends up.</div></div>
very good evaluation IMO
