If Silayev is available, they’d probably take him, but if not, they’d probably take Parekh or Yakemchuk.

Bedard / Eiserman would be an interesting combo. Goalies, stay on your toes. Shots coming from everywhere.

Adding more cap to Bruins, so the trade probably doesn't happen.

True, so run it through a trade retention partner as Flames cannot take on more either.

That's problem this year more than ever, so many teams....at least 20 at the cap, leaving few teams that would be willing to take on cap. Really tough to make a trade without an equal exchange of cap.

Maybe Detroit, Arizona, Nashville, Anaheim, Seattle, or Chicago would do it as they have lots of cap room and mostly near 23 signed.

True, but you can think of 20 teams who want to dump cap. And some of these cap dumps are players with mid range cap veterans who have M NTCs or NTC. Example: Leafs Brodie and his 10 no team trade list. Seriously doubt if he has any team on his list that is has cap (and therefore a poor team). Players that have a 15 no trade list are even more difficult to move.

Using Andrew Ladd's $5,500,000 two year AVV as an example, (2021-Jul-17 Traded from New York Islanders with round 2 pick in the 2021 draft (J.J. Moser), conditional round 2 pick in the 2022 draft (Mattias Havelid) and conditional round 3 pick in the 2023 draft (Tanner Ludtke) to Arizona Coyotes for future considerations) the Islanders had to add 2 seconds and a third for Arizona to take Ladd.
Right now four years of Campbell's $5,000,000 salary could cost 4 seconds and 2 thirds.
That would be equal to '24 1st, '24 2nd and '25 3rd.
Edmonton would be better off waiting a year to buy him out or hope he could resurect his mojo.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Haynezy</b></div><div>Ekholm, McCabe and Kulikov are other options.</div></div>
Yeah as term of LD depth the most interesting are Edmundson, Ekholm and Gavrikov. Not necessarily in this order but when one of them will move, it's will set the path for the other to be trade.
I think that they will probably be trade in the range of Savard trade ( 2x second pick along a prospect B ) or Chariot value (First round pick + prospect B ). All will depend on the demand and offer and the out biding.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Haynezy</b></div><div>Salary retention is an option with Ekholm but I think he will be too expensive. I suppose McCabe isn't an option if Edmonton is on his no trade list. Still, Edmonton already has bruisers like Nurse and Ceci so they aren't as desperate for that type of player who can shut down and play on the pk. Just someone who can fit into the 2LHD spot until Broberg develops. I wouldn't be surprised if Edmundson does end up in EDM but what you proposed is way too much in my opinion. Let's see what happens.</div></div>

Puljujarvi for Jones
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Haynezy</b></div><div>I suppose Anaheim could wait until the off-season to sign him but it will be more competitive. If they are interested and have the assets to acquire him now they might as well. It's no secret EDM is desperate to get rid of him so it would likely be for a bargain - like a 4th liner. If he ends up in Anaheim I could see him on the 3rd line with Lundestrom and get PP time. If he does well, once Silfverberg is gone he could move into the top 6 behind Terry and possibly PP1. Not bad for "a fine 4th line guy and a great locker room guy".</div></div>
He's also not likely to be QO'd by EDM, or almost any other team in the league, so we could just QO him and retain his RFA rights, since we have the cap space to do so, only competitors might be Buffalo and Arizona at that point, since Chicago is still burning it down. If you want his cap hit out of town, and a 4th liner back, we can send you Carrick, Grant, or Megna. No sense in giving up on one reclamation project to claim another.
Silf is also not in our top 6. Only reason he is on PP2 is because we have no one else to put there.
