That's what I'm thinking. He might not be ranked #2 but Bedard would have an elite winger to play with.

Great Mock Draft! A few big drops but that does happen from time to time. Also, the order will likely be very different so the outcomes could change. If it went in this order I think you are close with a lot of your picks.

Right now four years of Campbell's $5,000,000 salary could cost 4 seconds and 2 thirds.
That would be equal to '24 1st, '24 2nd and '25 3rd.
Edmonton would be better off waiting a year to buy him out or hope he could resurect his mojo.</div></div>
Good comparison but Ladd was washed up and older at the time. I wouldn’t say Campbell is washed up just yet.

Buffalo could use a veteran goaltender on the squad. Campbell had a bad year but could bounce back and be a great pairing with Levi.

Lysell is a must in this trade. Boston doesn’t have a 1st round pick and Calgary will definitely want a first rounder or top prospect. Lysell is the best prospect in the Bruins system. Boston won’t be moving Beecher because they need a centre for when Bergeron and Kreji retire.

Debrincat to DET
I think Pierre Dorion is not interested in draft picks/prospects and would rather have roster players he can put into the line-up.
Based on the moves Ottawa has been making (such as trading for Chychrun and Debrincat) Ottawa is focused on the present and would like to get better immediately. Draft picks will prolong the process as Ottawa will have to wait for them to develop.
This is a very risky trade for Ottawa but could work out in their favor. I could see Zadina thriving on a line with Stuzle. Zadina is still young and atleast he has consistently been in the line-up for Detroit. Many times a high draft pick has been traded and a change of scenery has benefited them. Fabbri is a liability but is proven when he is in the line-up and he can play centre. Ottawa is looking for depth and even if Fabbri only plays 50 games and contributes 35 points that could be the difference for Ottawa making the playoffs or not. Also, I think Ottawa will trade for Carter Hart to solve their goaltending issues.
Detroit however is not looking to get better immediately, hence, the Hronek trade. I think Detroit will be taking a slight step-back and will want to keep both of their 1st round picks. They will sign Debrincat long-term and may be able to compete for a playoff spot in 2 - 4 years.

Hayes to COL
COL might need to retain more but I think this deal works for both teams. Hayes was basically the No. 1 center last year for PHI. He did drop off towards the end but I think that's because PHI used him too much early in the season. I think Hayes would play with Nichushkin and Rodrigues if he goes to COL and is the best option to fill the 2C position.

Leafs with Kane and Garikov

PLD has 134 points in 177 games and Laine has 111 points in 141 games. How about you simmer down on trying to push your narrative on one player being much better than the other since the trade.
Laine has also extended for 4 years and PLD's agent is already trying to bully him out of Winnipeg to Montreal. It seems to me they're not very similar guys at all.
You seriously are lacking the context of just how irate Jarmo was with PLD quitting on the team. He was traded within 48 hours of getting benched during his last game. You can be sure he was genuinely thrilled to get Laine, who he thinks a hell of a lot of considering where they're both from, for a player that had openly quit playing for them.</div></div>
You just proved my point with those stats. And points are not everything as PLD is known for his 2-way play where Laine is more known for generating offense (Laine's +/- reflects that). Laine has been more injury prone and less consistent than Dubois with his new team (this is factual and not my opinion). I'm not trying to push a narrative, I was just sharing my opinion that PLD is the much better player and I think most people would agree.
Laine only getting 4 years shows that the GM did not want to lock him up long term. Based on what I've heard, PLD is expected to sign with MTL in the offseason for approximately 9.5 x 7. A 66.5 mil contract blows Laine's 34 mil contract out of the water - it's almost double. However, it remains to be seen what PLD will sign for.
It is the players right to play for who they want to play for and a long list of star players have done so in the past. Players like John Tavares, Adam Fox and now PLD are using that option.
Yes, he was thrilled to get Laine but would of been more thrilled to resign PLD without any controversy.

He tried to sign PLD long term before that which shows that they would of rather kept PLD. Both players are babies as Laine didn't want to stay in Winnipeg. These are two similar players but PLD has been much better since the trade.
Also, no GM is going to say they are "not thrilled" to bring a player to their team lol.

When I say 2LD I mean that's where he will slot into the line-up. I think he could fill that spot for a cup run. He is a 3-4 D on the depth chart behind guys like Reilly, Brodie and Liljegren. I think he could fill that 2LD spot for a cup run. Seems to be handling the increase of responsibility well with Werenski out. He's a cheap option.
