Zegras would fit a Brunette offense
If im nashville i just offer sheet him, 8,5 mil 2 years, a bit of an overpay sure and ANA dont wanna pay him that. also gives some security for signing the next deal as well. even if they match he hold arb rights for next deal and QO will be high so he can just walk himself to UFA unless they trade or pay him the bag.

if you dont consider at least Ostlund a top prospect ur trolling. think another add smaller piece is needed from sabres though for yotes to say yes.(not saying that the value isn't there, but rather they dont feel the need)

I think there is a trade that could be done with Vancouver for it that they say yes to, if it involves Pettersson with an extension + some other useful assets/rosterplayers(can be "dumps" but not useless ones)

if Helle comes with an 4 year extension im game with that trade. think there is 0 chance carolina considers jarvis for a rental AND a first. kings trade seems pretty good.

Playoffs for my expansion bros
Don't think ross colton gets that little, maybe if you made it in the 3mil range tampa wouldn't match but this they just match and laugh.
think olofsson gets you a 3rd/4th. depends on retension.

It's a crime that your goalie isn't Sorokin, at only 4 mil...
That d is brutal, leaving way too much value on the table by huge caps on this team

Get younger
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Snowhawk18</b></div><div>Vilardi is a player an interesting player but has a history of injuries. Clarke is a very good D prospect; solid offensively but needs a lot of work in his own end which is not uncommon for young d-men. Byfield in my opinion has been a significant disappointment when considering his draft slot. He is starting to look more like a 2/3 centre as opposed to a dominant #1 as initially projected.
To me the package isn’t good enough to net one of the best young NHL stars.</div></div>
what would be good enough for you to trade him? if you get to add or trade with a different team
i do agree that the package might not be enough but there is a limited amount of teams that can trade something of value that dont just make the wild rebuild.

Get younger
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Snowhawk18</b></div><div>You should change the heading to say “get younger and worse”.</div></div>
dont actually think it would make them that much worse, but 1st year yea most likely. sets them up nicely for future though.
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ledge_And_Dairy</b></div><div>LA can't afford that. Don't think they would do it either</div></div>
if they pay a 3rd team for cap retension they could. like 2.5mil ret for 3 years for a 1st. or trade a dump back

Lets do it
I think Mayfield(like that signing) is just the better player between him and carrier and would just play him next to OP. Giving up a player for Martinez seems crazy with vegas cap situation, they have to dump someone.
don't think sabers give up that much for saros even though i agree that they should!

Why not, he just isn't keen on Ott for the ownership situation and direction of the team being uncertain from what i heard. i'd love to go to an high scoring team like BUF and reunite in this instance with the guy who i played my best season with if i were him.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Fjordy</b></div><div>I don't understand why you rate Östlund so low, he's a great prospect picked in the middle of the first round. Adams stole the last draft and some had Östlund close to the top 10. For example, I wouldn't trade Östlund in a package for Hellebuyck because he has one year left. So you and I have a completely different assessment of Ostlund. We don't know how GM thinks. Olofsson is basically just a filler in the deal, but the guy still has 28 goals and can help out at the PP. I think this is a good value, it's just that there is a clear underestimation of Ostlund.</div></div>
I think östlund is great, fantastic pick but he is clearly in my eyes their 3rd best prospect and if im dealing a star no matter the position i want a potential star back. I view him as a potential great nr 2C. Olofsson is a upcomning UFA and were valuewise it's about the level i could see them trading off their roster it's not the team control or position that nsh wants.

If im nsh i start to listen when the package look something like: 1st, Kulich/Savoie(top level centerprospect), Jokiharju/ilya, B level prospect.

i know that goalies don't generally fetch that price, but when have a truly elite goalie with a fantastic cap hit ever been traded?
Saros has basicly for the last couple of seasons carried nashvilles ass to the playoffs. if they aren't blown away with a great offer, he ain't getting traded. that's why the price is too little.

If Nashville were to trade saros and i would asume they wont since they were pretty good after TDL, if they are going for a "getting younger" type year and adding prospects and letting younger guys on the roster grow like adding upl indicates: 1 olofsson wouldnt be part of the deal unless they flip him directly. 2 the package is too small, the prospect is gonna have to me be savoie/kulich. this is one of the 3 most valuable goalies for what he provides in correlation to cap hit, also have term.
i love the type of addition tho, as well as sissons even though i think he wouldnt be the 3C, whoever is left from the deal of Savoie/Kulich can battle it out with Mittelstadt for it since their upside is higher.
dont see the need to add lorentz, see above.
instead of buying out Comrie, wave him and keep as nr 3 or just lose him to waivers. both better situations than buyout.
think mayfield would be great with power, but that guy will get more term than 3 years.

make kirill happy
Don't really see them having a choice if they want to compete and keep kaprizov longer. sure Aho and Matthews are UFA same year but they will cost way too much for a 14mil dead cap team to handle. this gives them a solid 1C for like 4-5 years
