Would Forsberg sign the same deal Hall did
He probably gets north of 7.5mil MINIMUM over max term. If he was ever going to take a haircut, it would be with a team with a better long term outlook than the Bruins.

Another DeBrusk Trade I Saw
I think it's an overpay by LAK -- but if offered, BOS should jump on this.
It also gives them cap space + draft capital to potentially use in another deal addressing their need for a top 6 forward. I think they should keep the picks considering their farm system is pretty barren right, but it gives them options.

Another DeBrusk Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Heyhowareya37</b></div><div>I haven’t watched a ton of Mason Appleton a ton being a western guy - but by looking at the stats alone I would assume SEA would add. DeBrusk at the very least has had productive offensive seasons that Appleton just hasn’t had. Maybe some WIN/SEA fans can touch what makes his game valuable that the stats don’t show. But I could be bias in all this</div></div>
Appleton is a very high-energy guy who can chip in offense at times, but that isn't the forefront of his game. He'd pair nicely with Frederic and Foligno if the game they had together was any indication of how they'll play together in the future.

Hall would have someone to play with again.
Still think Ray would be awesome alongside McAvoy.

Monahan Gone
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Heyhowareya37</b></div><div>I assume there will be some CGY fans on this thread. I'm a Bruins fan and obviously 2C is a potential need, so my question would be What exactly happened to Monahan? It felt like it wasnt that long ago since he was tearing it up - I saw the decrease in his numbers, but like I said, I'm a Bruins fans so I don't watch a ton of Western Canada games.</div></div>
I mean he's never been known as a line driver, always a great finisher. He was injured all of last year and that really took a toll on his confidence. Then he started out the season driving the 4th line.
He was moved up to the 2nd line and had some success there but now Sutter keeps swapping him and Backlund between 2nd and 3rd trying to get those 2 going.
IMO I think Calgary needs to bring up 1 of their high achieving forwards in Stockton (Ruzicka just got called up so that might be the key). They need someone with a bit more offensive dynamo than Pitlick playing on a line with Dube and Monahan. Someone who can help get him that confidence back.

Hip injury in game 6 of last season, off season hip surgery, Kris Versteeg did a hit on the radio in town a while back saying he was never the same after hip surgery in his career. Monahan could very well be going through the same, along with looking less agile and slow he has started losing a ton of 1 on 1 battles which he used to be really strong in. He would park in front of the net, get open by winning a battle and bury a good pass. That isn't happening anymore but he also isn't playing with nearly the same calibre of line mates anymore.

I totally agree if you aren’t going to play Stud send him down and bring up the guy who’s putting up points everywhere to try and give the third line a boost.

My thoughts exactly. I think high end we’re looking at a Kevin Hayes esque guy, good two-way center with size and offensive talent. Realistically I’m hoping for like Josh Anderson.

Absolutely not. Happy to trade for Miller, but Carlo is not part of the package.
JT is someone they should have been targeting. Especially with Van cap issues.
Hamonic is on the verge of opting out/retiring as it is. A trade out of western Canada would be the final nail in the coffin.
