Of course it’s based off of nothing. I don’t know s***, it’s just a fun ACGM. Marner didn’t come close to living up to his contract this year playing on a stacked forward group. He’s also UFA, Barzal was better this year and he’s signed for 7 more years on a good contract. Sorokin had a bad season for his standard but is undoubtedly still one of the best goalies in the league, also signed. Dobson scored 70 points on a team that is seriously bad offensively, he’s young, RD, no way any team would trade that for an PPG winger att 11$M a year contract. I would trade Sorokin one for one though. I could also throw in the 1st instead of the 2nd, but then Toronto would need to give Isles something more.

Doubt he doesn’t waive. He’s familiar with Lou, he’s really close with Matt Martin, knows guys like Mat Barzal, Bo Horvat, Pierre Engvall and I actually think he’s pretty fed up with the whole Toronto circus.
He’s also going to live in NY, play in one of the nicest arenas in the league… play with Barzy, Bo, Nelson, Dobson, Sorokin…

Edit: Just some notes on why this is so bad....
The Devils should not be trading a top 10 pick for an expiring forward (even retained) and a mid 30s goalie that is expensive and not likely to improve.
To add to that with adding a 2nd and Bahl, and other parts just is crazy.</div></div>
It was supposed to be a top-10 protected next season.

Kyle Palmieri's contract is up and in this scenario so are Beauvillier's and Okposo's and you could always trade Varlamov, Cizikas, Pelech, and Mayfield. + the cap will raise even more.

Aho and Martin are fair value
Trading Nelson would be rough, but still I like the Avs trade (if we are trading Nelson I would do it this TDL and 50% retained maybe give a pick to another team to retain again him at 1.5 for 1½ years would net us sl much)
Lee we are going to have to pay to dump
That isn't even close for Buch at 50%
Sens fans on this site have shutdown any Pageau + 1st for Pinto type deal
Also Wally is definitely gone this TDL or in the offszn
And what are Forsling defensive stats like? Still I think that 7.5 could be spent elsewhere</div></div>
I agree with much of what you wrote, but let me tell you, Gustav Forsling is a top-5 defenseman in all categories.

Finland
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>SupremeBone</b></div><div>As I get the sense you aimed to craft a roster and not just sort them by best-to-worst player at each position, I think there are a few changes I'd make.
1.) I think Rantanen with Hintz is a combination that'd I'd prefer to see. Each player brings a skillset more analogous to a common linemate of theirs (Rantanen has similarities to Robertson, Hintz to Mackinnon). For the 3rd member, I'd maintain that theme and put Lehkonen on that line.
2.) Aho is the picture of consistency and he & Teuvo seem like a safe place for Laine to land. It's a line designed to both maximise Laine's strengths and mitigate the risk of his limitations.
3.) Obviously I don't mean to say Barkov is the 3C, but I see his skillset being best utilised in carrying a line with a couple of lesser-known names.
4.) To that note, I see no world in which Maccelli doesn't crack the active lineup based on current performances and a line with he & Barkov could likely achieve a lot. I'd personally push for Tolvanen here for the fit (line needs a shooter & some physicality), but a case could be made for a few different players.
That would leave Lundell & Kotkaniemi anchoring a low-event shutdown line with another of the remaining players. Not sure I see any major issue with the D corps aside from wanting Joker a bit higher.</div></div>
Thank you for your insightful opinion. Are you from Finland? I'm so excited about the four-nations and the upcoming Olympics. I changed it slightly now.

Adrian Kempe
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>I think people need to realize how well the King's goaltending tandem has played, in fact both Rittich and Talbot have been much better than Saros (one of his career-worst years) this season.
The Kings need to see more from their goalscorers like Kempe and Arvidsson (who has been sidelined up until 3 games ago). I think the Kings biggest area of weakness isn't goaltending anymore it's probably a 3LD or another defense-oriented/shutdown bottom 6 player (which Lizotte will can assist on when he returns from LTIR).</div></div>
I hear you. But what about the value? Would be interesting to hear your opinions solely on that.
