nah I don't think the Bruins move Ullmark for someone like RNH.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Does any team trade their top line player under 25 for Ullmark as the main piece in the return?</div></div>
brother, once again... The trade itself doesn't make sense, but the inherent VALUE of the pieces is even. Ullmark, as a player, is better than Brady relative to his position. Ullmark is at the minimum a top 10 goalie, Brady is MAYBE a top 20 LW at the moment. Ullmark plays a position that is very valuable to OTT and many other teams; the only issue is that he is older than Brady, hence the other picks + prospects.

5 years seems like a reasonable extension length. Ullmark not meeting your specific timeline does not mean that he is suddenly a "medium level piece"

Keumper is worse than ullmark and got Arizona a pretty nice haul last year.
If goalies were easy and cheap to get for goalie-needy teams, Edmonton would be a dynasty by now.

see my other 2 posts: I agree, OTT should NOT do a trade like that because Ullmark is too old for their timeline. However, the value being given in this trade is equal to, if not higher than, the value of Brady.

also I would agree trading for Ullmark does not fit the sens' timeline. They are prolly still 2-3 years from competing, which is why I said they shouldn't do it.

Given the price of admission for Ullmark is reported to be Chychurn + a first + another pick, I'd say that the trade here is actually pretty fair value wise. Does that mean OTT should do it? Probably not. But that's probably up there with the best offers they are going to get.

The Keumper trade you cited literally proved my point. Ullmark is a better goalie than Keumper and will, therefore, get moved for more.
Right now, Gavrikov is not worth as much as a top-100 prospect, and the king's first-rounder is likely a later pick (especially with Ullmark in net).
According to your own blueprint (the Keumper trade), this deal is in line with historical comparisons.

Use a comparison that happened this century.
That's like using the Gretzky trade as a blueprint for what a Mcdavid trade would look like.
Franchise goalies are rarely on the market, and when they are, a team isn't moving one unless you make it worth it to them.
The fact is LA needs a goalie to have any consistent playoff success, and boston won't move half of the best goalie tandem in the NHL unless its worth it to them.

Ullmark gets ridiculously underrated on this website. He's the reigning Vezina winner and has a .926 this year. He is a franchise goalie.

Broberg has hit a stunt in his development, Borgualt is a mid-late first rounder and your first is likely mid-late as well. It's two late firsts and a project for Hall. Price is likely a little steep, but I think BOS does get significant assets back for Hall.
