bc Kane ain't that valuable right now. He chooses where he goes, likely a similar package to what Giroux got. Zboril and Beecher both have bottom pair/third line upside.

I agree with you on a lot here- but I think you are letting your bias cloud your judgment a bit. While I agree VAN should not trade him, EP40 is very much comparable to Eichel-it can be argued that Eichel was actually thought of as being a tier or 2 above what Petterson believed to be now due to having no help in BUF. While I agree that the neck surgery was covered a great deal in the media, the process itself was a low-risk procedure that the media was overhyping to create controversy. GMs knew that and made offers accordingly. You have to bear in mind that this trade proposal assumes VAN is moving on from Petterson (when they should not even be taking calls on him in the first place), but if they do decide to fully blow up the core they will likely get something similar to this package in return.

A trade for EP40 is likely similar to the EIchel trade. Lysell (Krebs) Carlo (Tuch) 2 first and a mid round pick. Yes, this package likely gets declined but if Vancouver wants to move Petterson this is roughly the return they are getting leaguewide, add in a Beecher or a Merkulov and its hard to imagine any team giving up more for him.

I mean realistically the value is poor, swayman has proven at the very least he is a solid NHL player, with room to grow. This move does not put boston over the top, there are ways to get depth without trading a rising star, and boston will not be adding draft picks at the deadline. The trade is uneven and the return does not even fit boston's needs

The trade makes no sense for Boston. Swayman is still a very exciting young goalie, who hit the inevitable wall all young goalies go through at some point. The return is also just laughable.

Kane likely gets a similar return that Giroux got since he chooses where he goes- Hawks have no leverage and he's on pace for his worst offensive and defensive years of all time. If a team is trading for him they are hoping he excells in sheltered minutes on a better team. He is not worth as much as you guys think.

Clifton has likely played himself out of Boston and can be replaced with cheap free agent vet.
Beecher and McLaughlin will get legit shot a roster out of necessity.</div></div>
hmm did not know that capfriendly did not take into account the overages, in that case likely Clifton is gone and Monohan is replaced by a center by committee like we had in 21-22

I agree I apologize as I misquoted you- someone stated that the bruins would need to trade Lysell, Lohrei, and a 23 first for Chuchuryn, just realized it was not you. I agree that Chychurn likely helps LA become a true contender assuming Copley keeps up his good form.

Pay the price tag. I really want chychrun on LA as I do think it’ll push them closer to being actual cup contenders not just playoff contenders. Still need to figure out the goaltending. I don’t think Copleys play is sustainable but who knows.

Haggerty is not a reliable source, from what I heard Boston's offer to Arizona was similar to their offer for Lindholm. When ANA agreed Boston pulled out of talks w/ Arizona.

the description states that these trades are made if no one is severely overpaying for each of these players, historically speaking these trades are around market value considering in Chuchuryns case he is walking before Arizona is a contender and in Horvat's case he is gone by the start of next season.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Userunknown</b></div><div>Boston offered better than that last year at the deadline for Chychrun and was turned down. Joke of an offer considering what the asking price is and what they have turned down. Would likely cost 1st/Lysell/Lohrei for Chychrun alone.
Factoring what you signed Pasta and Bo for along with 4.5m in bonus overages, you have roughly 9m left with 11 roster spots to fill next season. Including resigning Zacha/Swayman/Frederic/others. In other words you can’t do it.
Pure wishful thinking and poorly thought out.
Typical fan logic of “i only want big names without any thought of ramifications or reality” as opposed to getting useful pieces that fit at reasonable cost.</div></div>
should have wrote in description but I agree getting both would tie up boston's cap and likely kill all immediate contention after this year, but having Chuchuryn,Horvat,Mcavoy, Pasta, Debrusk, Lindholm,Swayman as a long term core after a retool is something that extends the long term window of the team. Arizona's price for Chychurn is insane, and clearly an overpayment. I state in the description that some other team likely overpays for both of these players, but these trades are an optimistic outlook where both players market value goes back to normal. We both know Chuchuryn is not worth Lohrei,Lysell and a first, and gms around the league, including Arizona know that as well and likely fit their offers accordingly. It is up to Arizona to either move Chuchyrn for a fair deal or hold on to him for 3 years and let him walk.
