That's not how overages work. In fact, if you use a single dollar of LTIR relief, 100% of performance bonuses are rolled over to the following season.

It’s unbelievable to me that he would just completely make this up and think it would slip by. I also don’t get why he would do this.

No thanks from the Kings. You've given way to much cap to the Kings. Since the Bruins likely can't afford the Swayman if offered a 4.3m offer sheet (just a second rounder), the Kings would infinitely better offer sheeting Swayman, keeping Byfield and a first.

If Bertuzzi would've settled for that offer he'd still be a Wing. He wants term and more cash than that lowball.
