Potential playoffs
May I ask why you think Labanc and Myers have the same trade value? I personally think Labanc is more valuable either way the trade goes, I would think Vancouver would have to add something to get that trade done.

Toronto Maple Leafs 2023-2024

I can understand that. My thoughts were to maybe flip him at the deadline if he plays well enough or you can keep him and pay him a lower amount for the coming years. I know there’s a lot of defensive prospects coming up for Anaheim but Brodies a veteran in the league at this point and could probably slot in somewhere on that blue line.
Also Lafferty is in the deal and he’s a solid bottom 6 player.

Toronto Maple Leafs 2023-2024
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>JTrades</b></div><div>I appreciate the description. A few things...
1. I doubt Holl will stay. Fans have been so hard on him that I think he is ready to move on. He would also make more on the open market than he would in Toronto.
Fair enough. Thanks for the feedback.
2. Kallgren won't be resigned as Toronto has a lot of up-and-coming young goalies in their system.
3. I'm certainly open to trading Brodie as he is on an expiring contract. My problem with it is that you would need to replace him. You did so with Severson and while I think that he is a good player, I think that he isn't strong enough in his own end or on the PK. This makes Toronto's D more offensive than defensive.
4. I'm convinced that this core with disappoint again. I hope I'm wrong but I believe that the only way forward is to move on from one of Marner or Nylander, clear out Murray, and try and get younger. Build a team around Matthews and get him some consistent wingers to play with</div></div>
Fair enough. Thanks for the feedback.

As a biased Caps fan, Kuzy has way more value than Johansen in my opinion.

Washington Capitals 2023-2024
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ClockReads2113</b></div><div>They have plenty of offense form the backend now with Sandin in the mix.
Keep Mantha to see if the new coach actually utilizes him properly. Don't mind moving him but not paying to move him unless Caps desperately need the space to add a great player.
I love Wilson but also wouldn't mind if he was traded, just don't think that trade really helps the Caps at all. If you're trading him to TOR either Nylander or Knies need to be involved. Any Wilson trade needs to have a massive return.
The only thing this team actually needs is at least one top end top 6 forward. Bunting isn't it. Need to go after Nylander, Ehlers, Bratt/Meier, etc. Someone young and very good.</div></div>
I don't agree that we have enough Offense with Sandin but we'll have to agree to disagree on that.
I can agree that we can see how Mantha plays with a new coach for sure, if anything I'd be great to not have to trade him honestly.
I didn't really know what or who to trade Tom Wilson to, I only chose Toronto since he's from there. Not too many realistic trades to make from both rosters that's why I added Bunting in there. I'm also personally not a fan of Bunting but just needed something in there to fit the value.
I don't see any chance that Meier gets moved, I would be shocked if Bratt does as well but I would love to see Nylander or Ehlers on the Cap's. I also agree that we need someone younger and very good.

I'm just confused on the whole PLD situation. I've heard that he want's to go to Montreal so why not just wait till he goes to Free Agency and pay him then? If you lose out on him at least you didn't give up some valuable prospects right? Lmk.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>ClockReads2113</b></div><div>Caps do none of those moves.</div></div>
Well fair enough but I'd like to know what you think the Caps should do then. Personally, I think the Caps need more Offense coming from the defense as Fehervary, Jensen and TVR are all basically DFD. I thought Gost had a good season and is still playing well for CAR in the playoffs, wouldn't mind seeing him in the TOP 4 for WSH. We also need to shed some Salary somewhere and I'm not as big on Tom Wilson as most Caps fans so I wouldn't be upset if he was moved but I know the Caps wouldn't do it.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Well, for starters, you should use the 2023-2024 framework, not this season's -- among other things, you can just sign Michael Bunting as a free agent instead of having to trade for him.</div></div>
Like I said in the summary, this is the first time I'm making one of these so I'll know better for next time and yeah that was the basic idea for Bunting I just didn't know what else to add to the Tom Wilson trade as I think there needs to be more value on TOR's end for the trade to work.

Yeah I just looked at your stats and while Colton may be underrated, he hasn't been tested playing full time top 6 minutes. It really all depends on what role a team would want him to play in. If he's still going to be playing bottom 6 minutes for TB or another team then I personally wouldn't pay him more than 4mill.

All the trades could make sense in some universe except the Kuznetsov for Panarin one. As much as I'd love to see Panarin on the Caps, the Rangers would never do that trade lol.

Reinforcements for Ovi
That Gavrikov contract is super overpriced and Fehervary is gonna get paid way more than 1.5 in my opinion. I also don't even know what to make of the other trades lol. I would love to get rid of Mantha and replace him with Scheifele but I don't know if the Jets would go for it even with the draft pick upgrade.
