Bowey is scoring .90 pts/60. Parayko has .74. just needs to build his endurance to play bigger minutes, and he'll be better. Is St. Louis ready to start rebuilding, or not?</div></div>
Are we discussing points for defenseman? Have you seeen how bad Bowey’s defense metrics are?

The New Top 10 With Explanations
Calling Pettersson a generational talent is so wrong its hilarious. Hischier is the better player, dont get wrapped up in the recency bias.

The New Top 10 With Explanations
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>STLBlues17</b></div><div>If Pettersson was Canadian or American, I wouldn’t call him generational, but his numbers at every level and early success in the NHL indicate that he’ll be the best Swede of this generation. And also, the fact that he’s able to be so dominant when he’s super tiny and a average skater speaks to how incredible and unique his skill set is. Maybe he isn’t generational, but he’s a much better player than Hischier.</div></div>
The only places he's better than Hischier is goal scoring (slightly) and sh%. Hischier is better everywhere and play against way harder comp. Pettersson's raw xGF is only in the 41st percentile and Hischier's is in the 99th percentile. Pettersson is just not better than Hischier.

The New Top 10 With Explanations
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>STLBlues17</b></div><div>He plays with Taylor Hall and Pettersson has outpointed him by 13. Petterson is a much more dangerous player. This is also Petterson’s 1st season in NA and it’s Hischier’s 3rd.</div></div>
Hischier was better than Pettersson in his rookie year too. Notice how I used raw xGF so his numbers are not inflated by QoT. Using points to measure talent is a losing argument.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Jbarah12</b></div><div>0 chance Tampa makes this deal, they're going for a cup and Sergachev is an important D man for them. They won't trade him for a guy who's still in juniors and a pick. Just doesn't make sense. I'm a habs fan too btw</div></div>
Segachev is good and cheap. He is the exact player Tampa needs to hold on to so they can balance the cap.

Kakko or Hughes Whos YOUR 1st OA pick
still believe you have to go with Hughes, he shattered USHL records. Thats damn impressive, when the previous record holders are Kane and Matthews (who almost tied Matthews totals at 16 vs a year older at 17)
Feels like this can just be another Matthews vs Laine debate so you still take Hughes even though Kakko is a legit talent. WJC will sky rocket one of these 2 into that solidified top spot

Jets laugh and hang up. What the Heck is that offer. Connor had 30 goals in his rookie season, is on pace for 30 goals this season.
If this is a Jets cant afford to sign him so they will trade him move...they will get much much much better offers than a healthy scratch in Spooner, a mid level prospect that would be 3rd on the Jets D prospect depth chart, a struggling young player in JP and a draft pick

No need for big moves atleast not right now
You can totally afford it, so I’d add a third or fourth to the Carolina deal to sweeten things up as they drafted Fleury pretty high, and they think highly of him. Hudon and a third gets it done. It does go without saying that there are a ton of prospects that will be trying to make the team. Evans, Suzuki, Poehling, Fleury, Brook, Ylonen, and Ikonen. Training camp and the preseason should redefine the bottom line at least.

I agree with this. Although I do think if Petry continues this pace for the season the time to move him will be the draft in June. RHD who can put up 40 points a year and play 20 minutes will be a highly sought after commodity and Montreal needs to sell high.

I would say Jeff Petry, he is on pace for a 60 point season, and has actually picked up the scoring since Weber came back, 7 in 8 games, and he slotted back down to the 2nd pair.

I don’t see how you can call EP and Dahlin having a breakout season. This is their first year, so it’s their rookie season
