All fair points. But I would like to point out that Hyman was on pace for 62 points his final year in Toronto, nearly on pace for 60 last year and 80+ points this year. Kerfoot is on pace for 34 points this year. I think Hyman would have had better minutes and linemates then Kerfoot if he stayed in Toronto but either way I think he is a littler more valuable then Kerfoot +10 points.

Gibson has a worse GAA and only .020 better save percentage lmao I think ANA actually walks away like bandits here.. obviously Gibson has better potential to be a true starter at this point in their careers but Gibson hasn’t been elite for a few years.. ANA saves money here.. I think EDM loses this trade especially after adding a whopping two firsts!! ANA takes this and runs

Genuinely curious on what Debrincats next contract will look like. I believe his qualifying offer is 9 mil and he has arbitration rights. Definitely possible he takes a more team friendly deal I guess but not exactly sure he would.

The team I front of him is directly responsible for that. He’s still an above .900 goalie, still better than Murray and nothing has changed from my previous comments.

Similar playing styles, but ZM is bigger and nastier, playoff depth wise LA improves.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>littlejerryseinfeld</b></div><div>But Gibson stinks and has a horrible contract</div></div>
Gibson is still elite playing on a very bad team. His contract is not bad. Even though Murray is having a bounce back season Gibson is still better, and Murray will never be healthy for entire season, if half of one. ANAs not trading the better more consistent goalie getting paid less then he’s worth for two cap dumps and late round picks. I’m more of a TOR fan and then ANA.

ANA rejects. They won’t take Holl or Murray unless you add more first or second round picks. Then you’ll have to add more picks for them to trade Gibson.

(ARI/EDM) - Bjugstad, Dineen for Kesselring
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OilednGreasy</b></div><div>Kesselring is RD, and almost ready. Call up to fill in if injury and could've helped push Ceci out the door eventually.
The Oilers have 4 LD in the NHL right now and Niemeläinen has had some games too.
Don't like the Oilers depth at RD now</div></div>
All valid points, definitely weakens the RHD depth but also bolsters the left. That definitely doesn’t mean it’s an overpay though, the guy the oilers got back in more NHL ready, they get a very solid depth forward at a 450000 cap hit for a 3rd. In my opinion EDM wins this trade if it’s not considered fair.

Still a weird trade tho in a way the nucks are supposed to rebuild while the wings still have a shot at a playoffs spot.
Guess VAN wants more of a retool while the wings realise and accept they can't really make the playoffs this year.</div></div>
Yea it’s definitely a weird trade for both teams. You hit the nail on the head. VAN must feel like they can become more competitive a re tool, Hroneks age fits that window. Not exactly sure what DET thinking, he also fits their current window. Maybe VAN just made an offer they couldn’t resist. Or maybe DET is trying to make a move for a larger player. Who knows.

What?? Nash gets a one dimensional offensive defender, a prospect that should have been picked in the second round and a late first(which has a 2% chance of becoming a nhl star). Oilers get arguably one of the best two way defenders in the league. Lol

What other player moves
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Koskinen_The_Great</b></div><div>Eddy is practicing in full now. You have way too much trust in Ken Holland. Barrie shouldnt be dealt. He's been far better.
Nurse is a disaster and is getting caught up the ice too much, he needs a partner like Edmundson to settle him down and be a legit shut down pair. Their pairs need an overhaul, there is no synergy. Nurse has to realize that they dont need him up in the play so much.</div></div>
I agree, that’s why I said Barrie wont be traded. He’s their best puck moving defender, it’s well known the leadership core wants puck movers. Edmundson could play for 10 more years but that doesn’t change the fact that his back is toast and will never perform at what he did in his prime, he’s also been documented as one of the absolute worst defenders in the league. He wouldn’t be an upgrade on anyone the oilers currently have. Nurses biggest issue isn’t being caught up ice, that hardly leads to goals against. His issue is his soft defensive zone coverage and weak outlet passing. He’s consistently being beat one on one and to the “spot”. Nurses skill, size and skating are his assets. I do agree having a legit shutdown partner is best for him and Barrie would also benefit from a shut down partner but Edmundson is absolutely not that guy.

Barrie won’t be traded for Edmundson. Oilers probably won’t trade Edmundson at all. I think it’s pretty well known his back is done.
