These are really poor trades.

defending their cup
1.) Fleury is not worth that much. He's worth Hutchinson and a 3rd.
2.) Malkin will never be traded. People don't realize that trading a superstar gets assets, but, you no longer have a superstar on the team. Humoring you though, Malkin is worth Fast and Kreider and a 1st. And why would we need Raanta if you just traded for Hutchinson??
3.) Toronto would want more than a pick for JVR. They would want a solid NHL-ready D-man. Daley? And the first rounder.
4.) Eric Fehr is at best a 3rd line center and your line mates with him are 3rd liners, as well. Bonino is a pseudo- 2nd liner, due to the potency of the HBK line. So if Malkin was gone, Bonino would take over the minutes.
5.) Dumoulin as 7th defenseman?? He played the 2nd most minutes, as a defenseman for the Penguins in the playoffs, and thrived with Letang. So that is just plain wrong. Sorry.
6.) Finally, Kevin Porter is an AHL forward, as much as people want him not to be, for reasons I can't comprehend. And GMJR has publicly said that Sundqvist is 4th line C if Cullen doesn't come back.

Kuch would be an idiot to sign for $4.5M... He's going to be in the 5.5-6.5 region for sure. Proven regular season and playoff scorer.

Can Wings Afford Mrazek?
If you use the second buyout window to buy out Howard, it will be possible. I wouldn't risk losing Mrazek...without him your goaltending is trash.

Star Roster 16/17
The biggest problem from the Tampa Bay point of view is they can't afford to take Niemi back. The point of moving Bishop isn't just opening the door for Vaselevski but also to clear out salary cap space to resign Kucherov and others. Sending back Niemi doesn't allow them to do so.

Let Kuch go, We keep Johhny and Palat
Think of the players as assets since your playing at a businessman's job. You're trading a huge asset that is locked into an organization due to RFA status, for a 1 year 90 year old UFA.. Ergo low asset value. Yes he's a badass. Yes he can score. Yes he'd help this year. But also, yes he's a downgrade from Kuch, and yes he will likely be on a different team the next year. You don't lose Kuch for one year of diminished talent.
Get youth. Players on ELC contracts or prospects mixed with some ready now wing talent on good contracts.

Three way trade with Tampa, and Dallas.
I really like to see 3 way trades. They don't happen very often, but when they do they seem to work for all involved. It shows a lot of creativity to pull off. I'm curious just how many GMs try to pull off a 3 way deal when a standard 2-way trade breaks down. Probably not that many.

What are you giving to get the rights to Kucherov? They won't give Johnson for Pleky and a 2nd. I don't think they'll give up Johnson unless it's Galchy. Not even Pleky and a 1st good enough. It sets them back. And it doesn't make sense to give up Hedman (which I consider him a younger Weber). The only thing that makes sense for TB is Pacioretty for Palat. Sorry bro .

Some interesting moves u have going on here.
However, i cannot see how the Stars would EVER be willing to part with their #1 player for Bishop. They need a #1 goalie... But NOT at the expense of their franchise player, & the 3rd pick/downey make it all the more unrealistic and a rub in the face... Not in this world my friend.
I like the idea of the Jagr trade. Personally i feel u might be giving up to much for him and a 2nd. But its definitely feasible and could happen. However my personal critique is that by getting Jagr ur looking to add depth, not a 1st line forward. I find it hard to accept that Drouin would be ok with playing on the 3rd line too--this could be a problem. Thus, switch Drouin with Jagr. This would add depth, allow Drouin to be happy and a better development (this kid has SERIOUS potential) and a more effective 1st line.
And if u think the Pens are willing to part with Murray and a 1st for what ur offering keep dreaming.
Lastly... Please, for the love of god, take Kucherov of the 3rd line. This guy was ur leading scorer during the playoffs. He belongs with Palat and Johnston. Nuffsaid. Then put Callahan on the 4th line and bring Galagher to the 3rd.
In all honesty, these trades look like a 8yr took over Be a GM mode, in NHL 16, on Rookie, and went gung-ho. More realism man. But it was an interesting read, gave me a laugh thats for sure. Thanks for sharing and all the best!
