Kid Line
He may earn a spot on the NHL roster out of camp, but I would try to avoid rushing Yager at all costs. I could see him going back to the CHL for most of, or the entirety of the year to dominate and add some size. He may play his way to a signing and call up at some point, or finishing the year in the playoffs with WBS, but considering his size, going the Barzal route may be the best course of action. That 2nd year in junior after his draft year had Barzal chomping at the bit to put up an outstanding rookie campaign. It’d be sweet for Yager to produce in the NHL next year, but we definitely can’t rush him. We shall see.

Lol with those expectations, you’re going to be disappointed this off-season.

CHI may take Sheary for future considerations, but I doubt they’d pay anything for him.

Even if you think Vatrano will fall off, why would ANA accept this return when his value is as high as it’s ever been? Especially considering that they publicly stated that they’re looking to add a solid player to their forward group, not subtract.
I don’t necessarily think the return is even bad, but there is just no reason for ANA to move Vatrano for anything other than an overpay, which would include a 1st. A top contender would pay that for his production at his cap hit.

It seems pointless to sign both Monahan and DeBrusk when Perfetti is buried on your 4th line.

Questions for Oil Fans
1. I think your assessment on those two is spot on.
3. Im not sure if Ceci will be dealt, but since Broberg will be 3rd pair LD, it makes great sense to move Kulak and save roughly $2 million.
7. Who knows if Perry will either retire or look for a big 1 year deal like his one in CHI. He very well may do either, but having him back for around $1 million or less would be ideal. Holloway, McLeod, and Perry could be a very cheap and pretty effective 3rd line. I could see Brown coming back for about the same, but I can also see him wanting a fresh start. Carrick and Janmark will likely try to get as much as they can on the UFA market. Gagner could be a useful body if he keeps playing. I’d pass on Erne.
I think Lavoie could very well make the team out of camp, and Hamblin can be cheap, useful energy too, even if he’s just the 13th forward rotating in.

Bye Marner
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>themostleaf33</b></div><div>Nope.
Ehlers is a 60 point player. Pionk is a 30 point defenceman. Those two alone do not get Marner. Maybe if they had more than 1 year left, it would be possible, but the Jets would need to add a more significant young piece, like Perfetti or Vilardi. That is why I threw in Liljgren. Makes the trade value even.</div></div>
Nope.
Yet another reason your point is moot is because Marner wouldn’t waive for WPG. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

That point is moot, because I think you’re forgetting that Marner is too.

PIT declines. No. We don’t want your throw aways, and Robertson is not worth a 2nd. Also, the fact that you think you’ll get a 3rd for Kampf is comical. Of all teams, you send him to cap crunched EDM? You don’t know puck.
