We've got no reason to sell low on Laine because we don't need the cap, so any attempt to trade for him now would require we get back a package of sufficient value for a top-line near-PPG scoring winger. Coronato isn't there now, potentially might never be, and frankly we already have too many Young Up And Coming Wingers to be able to fit yet another.

Paying a top prospect for Laine is crazy. Last I checked he was terrible and a cancer in the locker room

Columbus is stuck with Laine, nobody wants anything to do with that contract.

You say that like it’s a bad thing for the jackets lol. He’s been nearly a PPG when healthy on a terrible jackets team. Jackets don’t need his cap space right now so despite what everyone on this site says they aren’t trying to unload him. Worst case they let his contract expire if he continues to get injured.

"when healthy" but he's injured a lot and even when he is healthy he's useless without the puck.
