I'd give up more for Dunn, but I don't think he'd be a good fit for Dobson. He'd be an excellent fit for Mayfield, but that would mean getting two defensemen instead of one. To visualize, we can either do:
Pelech-Pulock
Soucy-Dobson
Salo-Mayfield
or
Pelech-Pulock
XXX-Dobson
Dunn-Mayfield
I think the first option is more realistic.</div></div>
Yeah, he would be a great fit for their defensive style, and I would be shocked if Seattle moves Dunn as he is by far their player with the highest upside, but they have made a lot of decisions that have shocked me, so we will see

Based on rumors and previous moves I wouldn't put it past them. Trade also saves them cap space while upgrading their goaltending, so for a team competing now it is extremely helpful, but yes it would be an overpay

Yeah, I saw Florida and Vegas, but with Vegas rumored to either be signing Danault or trading for Eichel I felt it wouldn't make sense for them, but yeah it also doesn't really make sense for Florida unless they move Hornqvist or something, but then it wouldn't make sense for Arizona unless there was a significant sweetener. Oilers I think is too much, but based on what they've been doing, and the rumor they are pretty much guaranteed to move Bear if Barrie resigns, I figured it seems like a good offer for both sides. Edmonton gets a lot of cap space and a significant upgrade in goal, and the Coyotes get a good young dman and picks (Although tbh I mainly included the 2nd because I want them to get as many as possible lol). And I'm not sure what the exact price on Dvorak is, but that was the minimum price I think would be acceptable, and Minnesota is a team that it makes sense for him to go to.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KMarner10</b></div><div>Pretty reasonable, but I have to imagine that Hornqvist is in at least the top 9, maybe 2nd line RW, move Reinhart to C, and Bennet down to 3C. Marchment would probably be the odd man out, but that is a very good team, especially if Bob can turn it back to when he was in CBJ.</div></div>
Yeah, I agree with most of what you said, although I have a hard time seeing them not start Bennett on the 2nd line. And Hornqvist I agree should be in the lineup, but the only player I would want to play him over is Acciari, but he's center, so that wouldn't work, so I would probably rotate between Hornqvist, Vatrano, and Marchment, I just lean towards the younger players who I think are already better, but the beauty of their situation is that they can experiment until they find the best combination, and they are also protected from injuries. And yeah the team looks great, really the only concern is goaltending, if Bob was CBJ Bob they would probably be the top team in the East.

That is true, sorry maybe I should have clarified that I only meant on the ice it wouldn't be a huge step-down. As an Avs fan I will be devastated if Landy leaves, I just think the team would be able to replace him in terms of on-ice value.

I don't actually believe it's a massive step down, Schwartz is a very underrated two-way forward, and it will likely take 5mil to get him

That's fair. I'm a fan of McCabe, and the way I look at it is Kaut gets to compete for a roster spot, and it's very rare to have a fully healthy team, so he likely plays a majority of the season even if he is beaten out in training camp. I considered moving Compher so that Kaut is there initially, but I felt that it was unnecessary, as it only makes the team worse. I really like Gaudreau, my only concern is someone gives him a better offer, but if the Avs can get him at 1mil or less I think it's a slam dunk signing.

Danault is a ufa, so they don't need to use their pick on him and can still get him. Drouin I thought about but his contract is quite Large for what he brings, he started the season well, but outside of that hasn't done all that well in MTL, but I wouldn't be completely against it. Price's contract is way too big for his regular season performance, and how many more years is he going to perform in the playoffs? Also Kulak is very underappreciated.

Yeah, he definitely has a lot of positive aspects, I just think his ceiling is a number 4 dman, and I think he more likely ends up as a bottom pairing guy. I more just chose him because he's a good example of the level of prospect I think they could get, someone who most likely plays lower in the lineup, but has a shot at being better. He probably doesn't end up playing a significant role on the avs with them having Barron and Timmins ahead of him, but hopefully, another team likes him a lot and the avs can include him in a package for a good player or something.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Xqb15a</b></div><div>A year ago sure but not for only a year not including Helleson.</div></div>
Yeah, definitely an overpay, because it is really unlikely he goes back to the player he was 3 or 4 years ago, I mostly did that because that is the kind of deal I could see for him. I think a deal would be a player who is paid similarly but isn't really needed by their team (Compher), a prospect (Helleson, who as an Avs fan I'm not the highest on. I don't think he becomes more than a bottom pairing dman, but I would be happy with that, and we don't need him to be more than that), and a pick upgrade (A Late 2nd for an Early 4th isn't a massive difference, especially with the 2nd being in this draft). But I don't really see the Avs going for him, I think they would be more likely to try and move Compher for cap space and resign Saad, or add someone like Coleman.

I just threw up in my mouth a bit.</div></div>
Avs have the defensive depth to replace McCabe if he ever gets injured. Kuemper is definitely an injury risk, but the avs proved they can succeed with pretty much any goalie, so my bigger worry is Francouz's health and if he can return to form(Grubauer has an injury history as well). Newhook at 2C is risky, but their depth can cover for him when he goes through a through a tough stretch, and if he really doesn't work they can try a rental at the deadline or try Landeskog at center(Takes faceoffs and often plays the position defensively). What is wrong with Bowers at 4C? Seems pretty ready, and I would resign Bellemare, but it sounds like they are moving on from him, and my guess is because Bowers is gonna be 4C

Yeah, it could really be any team, I just chose the Kings because it feels like it fits into their plan with the Arvidson deal, and he would be the kind of player who can fill in higher in the lineup when their young players are struggling, but it isn't a big deal if he is pushed down in the lineup for their younger players
