<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>KingsGKG</b></div><div>Couple of points.

I would like Vegas to take Clifford, but not going to give up a 3rd round to do it. Just let them take Lewis or McNabb

On the Drouin trade: Again, I think you are giving up too much. Muzzin and a 4th for Drouin might work. I personally like them getting Muzzin for Tyler Johnson straight up.

If we get Drouin, we need to lock him up for longer than 2 years. 4/5 years @ 4-5m

Also. I doubt they bring Justin back. I just think they are looking to get a little more athletic on the wings. If JW does come back, it will be a 2yr deal</div></div>

With regards to your first point, I'd give up a 3rd to make sure they don't pickup McNabb. Lewis, I'd let them take grudgingly. But having McNabb as a 6/7 defenseman allows us to make the trade for Drouin/Johnson/Kane (ugh, I hope not). My point remains, we need McNabb to have the defensive depth to trade Muzzin or Martinez. That's worth the 3rd round pick as compensation to take Cliffy.

LaDue isn't going to get more than 900k-1.2mil/year for 2-3 years. He hasn't earned it yet, and has absolutely no leverage with the team. He's going to be a good player, but he's not a Doughty-lite with that kind of sway over his pay. And he'll be looking to get that first big contract sooner rather than later, so he won't sign for a long-term.
