Lamarcus Bowen's Mock 2024
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Lamarcus_Bowen</b></div><div>Would Adam Jiricek have been a better choice?</div></div>
Definitely. A great choice if the Blues stay at #16. But there's a solid chance Army trades up to get Dickinson.

Playing Psychic (Prediction)
Why would Anaheim go LHD with a top 3 pick when they have the best LHD pipeline in the league already with a clear cut #1 in Mintyukov?

Who's draft board are you reading that thinks Anaheim is going LHD?

love the Buium respect. 2 is a bit high IMO but I could see him being a top 3 player in this draft down the line

3 rounds
I'd be satisfied with MTL taking a risk with Michkov if they get a safer 2-way center like Danielson at 17.

May 21 Mock Draft
As a Jets fan, I would love to have Savoie. But I don't think he falls past Detroit. Also Lambert won't fall past 20th, hes the best skater in the draft.
Geekie is also pretty high and I think Yurov will still be drafted in the first round.

All of Korchinski, Mateychuk, Casey and Mintyukov will require a fair amount of development. So none of them are playing NHL minutes next year. Really I think in the 10-20 range Ostlund may be the most NHL ready though he's a forward.

Should be number 7 but probably will go like 2 or 3 because scouts only care about size and not skill I still see his upside but he isn’t very nhl ready

I like Mateychuk too. Just think what Korchinski brings is more of a need for the Sharks. Honestly we shouldn't be passing on Lekkerimaki or Cutter if available, even Ostlund would be a better bet. But if we go
D then Korchinski should be him, his comp is Shea Theodore - I like that.

Sharks would take Korchinski over Mateychuk all day long.

I like it from NJ. I don't see Lambert falling out of the top 10 though.

Lamarcus Bowen's mock
There’s no way McTavish falls that far I’d love if he did but Nill will probably go dumb and take a risk on a college bound guy or a Russian or Lysell who is probably going to drop due to attitude issues (demanding trades in Sweden before he’s even 18 like he’s owed something).

Lamarcus Bowen's mock
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>papishark</b></div><div>I think we get one more bad year before Doug Wilsons gone and the rebuild starts, but no they should not target a goalie. This mock is worst case scenario though, maybe the best move is to draft Johnson</div></div>
If the Sharks had decided that it was time to sell off everyone for picks and prospects to start the rebuild, picking Jesper Wallstedt would be the best pick by far. Finding a franchise goalie is huge. Rarely do we see teams win the Stanley cup with goalies that are traded to them or picked up in free agency. I mean, go look at the starting goalies of the past 10 teams to win the Stanley cup. Fleury, Quick, Vasilevsky, Binnington. The list goes on but my point is, being able to develop a potential superstar goalie in your system that can be your franchise goalie for 15 years will payoff far more than taking a forward or d man. I know it’s not the exciting pick but in the long run its usually worth it.
Considering the Sharks aren’t planning to rebuild, I highly doubt they take the goalie. If I were the sharks gm I would currently be selling off Hertl, Meier, Kane, and the rest of your top players for 1st round picks and prospects. The further they push back the rebuild, the longer its going to take before they can contend.
