<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsTalkNHL</b></div><div>Depending on how he plays moving forward and how early this trade would be, NJD could test him out and move him if need be. To be fair, with all of their recent moves, it would be hard to see NJD take on another rebuild. I think they would still try and remain competitive. Chucky, who would be playing consistent top 6 minutes, would get a real chance to prove himself.

As for the deal itself, I could maybe see it going to 11.</div></div>

Honestly I'm not that high on Chucky... It didn't work in MTL for various reasons, moved to ari ARI, where he had his chance to become a leading winger and didn't work again, then got moved again to Pens where he has been probably at the weakest when compared (although he's been there for the shortest amount of time)... moving to yet another weak team is very unlikely to change things. He has skill, and he should be able to show it alongside great C's such as Crosby and Malkin, but statistically he hasn't shown really anything. He hasn't even scored 1 goal yet.

I think he has a had a load of chances in very different teams, and when it comes to expectations for a 3rd overall pick, he has blown every single one of them. If I was NJ I wouldn't take that chance. The likelihood of him either being pretty bad or just walking are just too high...

As for Hall, I expect that Panarin deal being the minimum he's going to be after, especially if he becomes UFA. Two years in a row in pace for 90 points, this season close to 80 with NJ sucking pretty bad... I'm impressed.

Thread: Thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsTalkNHL</b></div><div>The problem is I cannot see those guys being treated as #13 forwards.. they should be playing. Id also love to see Marino, Addison or POJ make the team, but I feel like wed have to move out one of our current defensemen.</div></div>

If they are going to make the jump they are going to make it this year or next. They aren't young. BJorkqvist is 22 angelo is 23. They aren't under weight developing players anymore. They are either making the jump or they aren't. It might take a 1/2 year on Bjorkqvist but Angelo been in the system a full year now. So I don't think it's impossible to say they move in.

I think that's the plan on the defense. I think that's why they traded for Marino. He's 22, he'll be ready to come in next year if he has the talent they say he does. RHD, Schultz writing is on the wall.
You can look at JPO and it's the same thing, they will be needing a LHD, especially when they dump JJ. He's going to get his year in WBS and if all goes well you can see the plan already. Dumo, MP and JPO on the left side.
Addison may never make it to the penguins. He racks up decent points but he's small and for all the points he racks up, they cough up a lot of goals with him on the ice. 65 point defense men shouldn't be a +2 and -18 in the minor leagues. We'll see. But I don't think they are looking at him that way at this point. He's only 19 and has time to develop still. But these other players are older and in JPO case he was a 1st round pick. But if you listen to them, it sounds like the plan is to go young.
