I'm pretty high on him, but good two way second line center ceiling, high end 3C floor if he recovers well from injury imo

Yup, I think Addison is a lot further in his development than POJ however both will finally want to crack the NHL and both should be at their best in camp to prove their worth.

May i present to you..... John Marino! I think the top 4 is ridiculously good with Dumo - Tanger and Petty - Marino. You can try out Addison as the 3rd pair RD next year i think. If it doesnt work we always have Riikola or Chad. Use that cap space to sign a for the wings.

Would NJD really do it
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsTalkNHL</b></div><div>Depending on how he plays moving forward and how early this trade would be, NJD could test him out and move him if need be. To be fair, with all of their recent moves, it would be hard to see NJD take on another rebuild. I think they would still try and remain competitive. Chucky, who would be playing consistent top 6 minutes, would get a real chance to prove himself.
As for the deal itself, I could maybe see it going to 11.</div></div>
Honestly I'm not that high on Chucky... It didn't work in MTL for various reasons, moved to ari ARI, where he had his chance to become a leading winger and didn't work again, then got moved again to Pens where he has been probably at the weakest when compared (although he's been there for the shortest amount of time)... moving to yet another weak team is very unlikely to change things. He has skill, and he should be able to show it alongside great C's such as Crosby and Malkin, but statistically he hasn't shown really anything. He hasn't even scored 1 goal yet.
I think he has a had a load of chances in very different teams, and when it comes to expectations for a 3rd overall pick, he has blown every single one of them. If I was NJ I wouldn't take that chance. The likelihood of him either being pretty bad or just walking are just too high...
As for Hall, I expect that Panarin deal being the minimum he's going to be after, especially if he becomes UFA. Two years in a row in pace for 90 points, this season close to 80 with NJ sucking pretty bad... I'm impressed.

Penguins Thoughts
1. Absolutely agree. I would like to see Jarry get around 30 games this year and really see what he can do. I think in the offseason the pens may need to look at a Jarry or Murray trade depending on what each of their asking price will be but I hope they can keep both.
2. I definitely think Galch with Sid is worth looking at. If he can't find the back of the net I think that the pens will look to trade him by the deadline.
3. 100% agree with that. McCann is our 3C. It's unfortunate that Bjugstad hasn't exactly worked for us but I think he is worth keeping around for a playoff push if a good deal doesn't come across.
4. I think Schultz is absolutely gone after this season with Marino looking the way he has. Definitely worth keeping around for the playoffs although I wouldn't be surprised with a trade if the pens get someone on a cheaper and longer deal.
5. I don't think JJ has been terrible this year. However, I think if you can trade him you have to. There are players that can do what he does for significantly cheaper.

Deadline
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsTalkNHL</b></div><div>In my opinion, Montreal could really use a solid LD. Brodin is 26 and Lehkonen is 24. It is getting a little late for Lehkonen to fully prove himself and develop into a top 6 guy. He seems to have capped out as like a 30-point guy. At the same time, Montreal has a lot of other guys who could take Lehkonen's spot in the lineup. Just my opinion.</div></div>
I know, just the coach and GM love him

Ducks are a fit
With out NR it doesn't make sense for the penguins. If they trade out push back, then they need to bring it back in. They will simply be looking for it later and god knows at what cost.
How do you think you ended up with Gudbranson to begin with?
You need to be honest about why he's here, not simply that you got rid of him.
He plays against teams that are a bit goonish, you saw why against MIN with bone head foligno.
They aren't dealing with a whole season of that. So if you aren't replacing it, it's not happening.
Furthermore, they have to be good enough to actually be on the ice.

Yes - NEXT SEASON - We must move JJ by end of year (hopefully soon) and will need to move Guddy and Horny or Rust to fit everyone, but if we do that we should be fine.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsTalkNHL</b></div><div>Its no longer Fenton :tearsofjoy But in all honesty whats an actual trade that could go through?</div></div>
To trade him he needs to waive first. I think that's harder said than done. Especially with a guy who has kids in school and they have to uproot.
It's a tough spot to be in with Horny. He has 1 year left after this with a NTC, then you are looking at a 8 team list, which he most likely waives for seattle. I think that was kind of a handshake deal there.
I'm guessing the more reasonable answer for him is LTIR. If he doesn't play well this year, gets hurt. I think that's the end of it. No issues with that. He shouldn't have any either, he won his cups.

Thoughts
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsTalkNHL</b></div><div>The problem is I cannot see those guys being treated as #13 forwards.. they should be playing. Id also love to see Marino, Addison or POJ make the team, but I feel like wed have to move out one of our current defensemen.</div></div>
If they are going to make the jump they are going to make it this year or next. They aren't young. BJorkqvist is 22 angelo is 23. They aren't under weight developing players anymore. They are either making the jump or they aren't. It might take a 1/2 year on Bjorkqvist but Angelo been in the system a full year now. So I don't think it's impossible to say they move in.
I think that's the plan on the defense. I think that's why they traded for Marino. He's 22, he'll be ready to come in next year if he has the talent they say he does. RHD, Schultz writing is on the wall.
You can look at JPO and it's the same thing, they will be needing a LHD, especially when they dump JJ. He's going to get his year in WBS and if all goes well you can see the plan already. Dumo, MP and JPO on the left side.
Addison may never make it to the penguins. He racks up decent points but he's small and for all the points he racks up, they cough up a lot of goals with him on the ice. 65 point defense men shouldn't be a +2 and -18 in the minor leagues. We'll see. But I don't think they are looking at him that way at this point. He's only 19 and has time to develop still. But these other players are older and in JPO case he was a 1st round pick. But if you listen to them, it sounds like the plan is to go young.

I swear I think they are going to go young on defense next year. JPO and Marino. Just from the way they talk about them.

It is indeed quite a puzzle. He seems to be on the decline and still has more term on his contract than most teams would like.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>LetsTalkNHL</b></div><div>I honestly signed anyone. Its just to have an extra forward.</div></div>
yeah but every single player on the roster is important. it changes the practice dynamic, and young players like simon, reese, and kahun are going to have bad games and get scratched. the 13th and 14th forward are going to play at least 25 games. With how close the talent level is in todays nhl that could make or break advancing to the playoffs.

Yeah. I figured that moving Sutter forward might be easier than Johnson as he has less term left, but probably you'd be forced to retain some salary.
