Trades
I think the trades make sense, but if I'm being honest I'm not a huge fan of Krebs as a target. I think the gap between him and both Frost/Couturier is huge, and that finally top-9 Center spot is probably better saved for someone who has the potential to move the needle more than Krebs (not even a Zegras level target, I'm thinking someone like Lundell or even Turcotte)

Please sell at the TDL
Tampa accepts, especially if they don't get Hanifin. Walker addresses a clear need, and Tampa could likely re-sign him a bit more easily(in terms of cap hit), then someone like Hanifin.

Firkus wont make the team next year. I have a strange feeling Francis is going to let a lot of players walk for nothing :( and then sign guys in free agency

On board with this as a Ducks fan. We need to retain some on Gibby too though. Good, simple ACGM

It's not bad, but there would definitely need to be more. A late 2nd and a solid prospect aren't going to get it done. I would say add another prospect and maybe a late pick in 2024. I'm a big Gage Goncalves fan, so he would be a target IMO.

Could never say no to grit for that price, but with our cap situation we need salary retained.

Unfortunately, I think we can finally stop playing the "you never really know" game. 99.9% chance he never plays another game in a Flyers uniform

The simple fact that you'd bite on it for sure only shows how bad it is for buffalo.
Not even close to reality

Even retained the Avs can’t take that much salary without someone like RyJo going back (he’s the only one with enough cap to make it work anybody else would drastically change the trade). I like the trade framework though.

Buffalo will make a trade for Hart. Not sure Ostlund is on the table but Isak Rosen could be. Buffalo has picks to go along as well.

Looking at rumoured extension
Lyubuskin isn't taking that. Benoit has been excellent since being added to lineup. Reaves in the minors clears 1.15M in cap space. Bert is a must re-sign. Idk if Robertson beats out Holmberg for a spot. If willie gets that amount, they better hope JT takes a major hometown discount. If he doesn't this team will never be able to have the supporting cast to win or do they let Marner walk.

I absolutely could too. Gives them 1st round value which is likely what Danny will be looking for.

No reason to sign Beauvillier, Geekie and Frederic are already better and know the system. I'd rather go after Hanifin with that money+not signing Ghost. I do like Duchene here though, I know we were in on him this summer

Brodie signing has been addressed above (100% accurate 👍), but I’d prefer Bert over Toffoli. We have elite scorers / playmakers so Bert brings element top 6 needs. JT, Willy, Bert line is one of the best in league. I’m not in favour of bringing back Robertson at such a significant raise.

Not bad, but I would rather spend a bit more for a better dman with Rielly. Brodie has really been struggling this year as a top pairing. He is better as a 2/3 dman better on 3rs pairing. His age is coming up with him.

I think your prices on Montour and Forsling are a bit off. I think Forsling will get between 4.5-5M with much more term and Montour from 6-7M with much more term. I also think they will try as hard as possible to keep Reinhart but he is probably pricing himself out. I agree that Tarasenko could be a solid replacement for him, Duchene is another one I see as a potentially great fit there if Dallas decides to spend their cap space on defense and promote Stankoven and/or Bourque instead

Sabres did call about Hart- Price was apparently too much
Obviously i couldn’t say what we’d be willing to pay,
but I’d say Hart is a possibility
BUT
With UPL & Levi playing well after rough starts, we might just hold pat with them
