Byram plays on the right and when you are talking high end dmen that play both sides I would pay a lot less attention to handedness

Jokiharju has been the Sabres best RD this season
He’s managed to stay healthy & look pretty good for the most part
It is possible we’d move him, but it would most likely be as part of a package for a RD upgrade (i would think)
We’d have to sign a UFA like Matt Roy to even consider a move like this

Jersey probably does that, Calgary certainly does, don’t see why Buffalo would tho
In: 2nd, Vitek
Out: Krebs, 6 mill in retention.
Seems like taking on the vitek dump, retaining that much, and giving up krebs would get you more than a 2nd

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>hockeynutter</b></div><div>Tuch and Skinner have shown to be more 2nd line players. Both have not had not come close to what was expected after last year. I think the Tuch we see this year is the Tuch for future years. An offer like that is normally more than enough. Problem is that Buffalo is tired of rebuilding and probable would want a player with higher ceiling than Jarnkrok as Jarnkrok ceiling is reached as a 3RW capable to moving up temporarily. Buffalo would want Robertson over Jarnkrok I would think. Then is it worth it for us.
The bigger no for me is Dallas, Dallas has a good top pair then after their defence significantly drops like the leafs. They are in need defensive depth. Why would they trade their own depth when they need it?</div></div>
It's an embarrassing and insulting offer.
Retaining for 2.5 years alone would cost a 1st

Not if Luke decides he would rather choose which team he wants to play for, and his brother happens to talk him into coming to Buffalo instead. It wouldn’t be the first time a team got screwed by the college player loophole, but it would be the first time it benefited Buffalo instead of screwing them.

If Levi & UPL are BOTH making $3.5mil +
Then we should be in really good shape
Mitts is likely still here though
Robinson probably not, maybe as the 13th forward?

Futures
Both trades are just bad for Buffalo anyway. 3rd rounders are usually fringe NHL players most of the time, higher picks are lottery tickets, and waiting 2 years for a mid 1st while Mitts scores 60 pts a year for the Wild? Yeah, pass.
