next year
I'm okay with signing Donato, i like that addition, Gruden is going to be lucky if he plays 50 games in the league, he has no business being in the NHL permanently next season. If anything have Poulin up at 4th LW and see if he can work his way into a higher roll.
POJ has been solid this year, and imo if they wanted to trade him they could get a higher return.
You're leaving 4.5m nearly on cap, they can't do that in the dying years of Sid/Malkin/Geno. I'd also assume they try and get Zucker back, he's been one of their top players this season. I'd rather not trade for Tanev, and sign Domi for 3c and move Donato to 3LW.

pettersson asks out
Going to take a hell of a lot more than that. Hue tale is not needed and is just too old to fit the Canucks. They would likely have to immediately flip him. The pens just don’t have anything of that much value to get Pettersson

Guentzel is great, but the Canucks already have too many wingers. If Pettersson asked out it would be a full on rebuild, so picks and top prospects would be the ask. And personally I just don’t think Pittsburgh has the prospects to pull that type of deal off

I really hope he doesn't ask to leave. I really wish Benning had signed him to a longer contract than just 3 years. He's got a lot of skill and what I like most about him is that he plays a really good 2-way game. He can be out there on the poweplay and be very effective while he is also very strong on the PK. He's probably our best player right now and I would hate to see him go

and honestly, I would give Winnepeg a 3rd for taking Hunwick. He's not terrible, I just don't enjoy watching him out there.

You guys are fun. I left off Kane because Washington's not really into people accused of those kinds of crimes, but I'm sure yinz can dig it in yer Roethlisberger jerseys. Amirite?

A bolder ott trade
I think it’s pretty good although I think Ottawa would be interested in getting a goalie prospect in there as well. Maybe take out sheary and add jarry might get it done. Also might be a condition on the 2nd like if the pens make the finals it becomes a first

nsh center surplus
This is a decent deal. Nashville is looking for a scoring winger and Sheary can produce away from Crosby. Plus pens have Guenztel to reunite with crosby if a 3rd line center is acquired. Simon looks to be fitting nicely on Sid's wing as well. I don't really see the need to flip 5th rounders but thats just me being nit picky.
Both teams dealing form their depth to get what they need. But would nashville really want to help the Pens become a strong contender again?

avs trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>kainzy</b></div><div>I agree, also Sprong is going to be great soon. We need to let him develop in the AHL and he will be a scoring machine</div></div>
It wasnt meant to be a shot at him, I think he is going ot be a good player too.
But rebuilding teams in the Avs are not moving 23 and younger guys who are working and excelling for them. There is no real benefit for them here, just more risk.
I know Pens are really trying to gain that young 3C but if they want a guy like Kerfoot they are going to have to really over spend, you have to buy him away from the Avs, not fair trade for him based on how good and important he is to the Avs going fwd.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>jmac490</b></div><div>think you slightly overpaid for Hoffman... Wouldn't give up both of Kyrou and Fabbri.
Fabbri + Gunner + 2019 1st or 2nd is sufficient</div></div>
Cool, unlike real negotiations I like to start too high to eliminate the hater comments haha. I think pre-injury Fabbri is only slightly less valuable than Hoffman, but there are huge question marks given the b2b surgeries, so his value is probably much lower.
