<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Habs4ever</b></div><div>People will argue and split hairs on here but it also depends on the need of the team. Supply and demand. If only one team is interested, then draft pick slides down. If five teams are interested, then obviously the pick slides higher. To add to this, this year might be tough because of border closure. With that said, if MTL does decide to move these players to the four western teams, they are probably not in their division once border opens up and teams go back to normal divisions. Here is my take:

Armia 3rd to 5th
Perry 3rd to 5th
Danault possibly two 2nd's, or a 1st and 5th, or 2,3,4, or a pick and a prospect
Tatar 2nd to 3rd plus prospect
Kulak 3rd to 5th</div></div>

I have a feeling players won't go for as much at the TDL this year if they're going from a Canadian team to a US based team. Here's my reasoning. Let's take Perry for example going to the Islanders on April 12th, Trade Deadline Day. The Islanders are at 28 games (exactly half of their schedule), by April 12th, the TDL, they will have played 43 games then you take into account the 14 day quarantine period. That would take him to April 26th at the very least. In that 14 day span the Islanders play another 6 games taking them up to 49 games on the season. This means they have 7 regular season games of Perry plus the playoffs. That's my reasoning as to why values in trades between Canadian and US teams will be lower this year. This will also probably lead to Canadian teams who are buyers looking for players from other Canadian teams who are sellers and the same happening in the US. This is also why players with 2 years left on their contract like Mattias Ekholm and Rikard Rakell will be much more valuable at this years TDL.
