Didn't really consider it</div></div>

Why Nelson for 5 million if you are getting Duchene. Not necessary. Have Koivula in AHL for third line center.
and also I think Lee takes "hometown discount" and stays for 5 million over 5 years. Why no trade of eberle

"The Rangers get forwards Ryan Spooner and Matt Beleskey, prospect defenseman Ryan Lindgren, the Bruins' 2018 first-round draft pick and a 2019 seventh-round pick." From ESPN. Nash was a 33 year old rental whose prime days are far behind him. He yielded a 2nd liner, a prospect and a first. You are telling me that Lee, a 40 goal scorer last season whose in his prime right now, won't yield a 1st, 5th, decent defensemen and a good prospect? I'm sorry, Willowkink, but you are wrong.

wow....... 5 stars for title. But, that trade is crazy. We get a lot back, but is Duchene and Karlsson rly worth JHS amd Bellows + 2 1st Rounders? And Quennville. Seems like to much for 2 players who have exprieing ontracts

True. However, I think the addition of Justin Faulk puts Isles Defense in good place. For me, season depends on Robin Lehner's performance. He puts up 920 save percentge, we r good. He doesnt, we will struggle. Offense is fine with likes of Barzal, Beau, Ebs and Lee.

No team will want to take Callahan. TBL is stuck w/ him unless they trade him with a good player/1st round pick/good prospect.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>Why do the rebuilding islanders want a rental?</div></div>
Contrary to popular belief, the Islanders are not a rebuilding squad. They have pieces that will help them this season. They will surprise, mark my words. The Isles would not give up Beau for Pac. They play the same role, and Beau is significantly younger.

I think ur wrong. With Barry Trotz coaching, Barzy first line, promising prospects such as Bellows and Ho-Sang, and with the players on the team last yr (Lee 40 goals, for instance) and more defensive forwards, this team is certainly a playoff hopeful. If they were to trade for another top defensemen, they have a real chance of playoffs. And hopefully, the Cup. Its a long shot, but this team can compete.
