Nemo has definately impressed and I like what he brings to the team in terms of his physicality, however, I think he gets sent down to start the season and get some time on the top pairing in Bako. I think it could do him some good getting more time handling the puck. Mcleod is going to play on the third line and Janmark on the 4th. I think Woodcroft trusts Mcleod more and wants to help him develop. I dont care how good you are not many young players can produce points on the 4th line so youve got to give him a shot as the 3rd LW. Lastly with how Foegele has played I wouldnt want to move him but Im not sure how to keep him and also bring up Holloway so unfortunately he probably does go

Yeah I guess there arent any good players on the Bruins that would help a defensmens numbers. No Two way centers or good wingers there. They should trade for a player like Bergeron or a winger like Pasta or Marchand.

Both played 71 games Nurse had more goals, assists, primary assists, greater share of ice time, more shifts starting in the defensive zone, more than twice as many hits, 40 more blocked shots, and the same or higher in S% G% ES% and EG%. Hes not worth 9.25 but hes worht more than 6.5 for sure. All those stats I listed from last season were done on a down year for him. His numbers made a huge jump after the coaching change when he started playing with Ceci. He is worth more than Lindholm

Opening Night
So excited to see this team play especially that third line. I think Woody may play a lot of 11 and 7 with broberg and Nemo both getting time with Barrie on the third pairing. Honestly makes sense when you look at how many center options we have McDavid, Drai, Nuge, Mcleod. It seems like a great way to get the bottom six guys more playing time while sparing the younger D men. Dont know why it isnt more common

I wont this
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Babatunde</b></div><div>Barrie is a cap dump, especially with how tight the Oilers are to the cap. Teams expect the Oilers to pay in compensation of freeing up $4M (could even add up to a first round pick). If Puljujarvi has value, teams would offer more than a 3rd, but they didn't. You are right about the first and Lavoie is a C level prospect, not a player that the Coyotes will be interested in. Arizona will expect Dylan Holloway to be added into the package, if not, they have no problem trading him elsewhere. Oilers will have to pay up to get someone that will help them win now</div></div>
I dont understand where you got it in your head that Arizona needs Holloway to be in the package, the first time around the trade was shot down because Holland wouldnt include broberg.

(1) Barrie is a cap dump, it will take several picks to get rid of that terrible contract
(2) Puljujarvi has no trade value thanks to Ken Holland. Most that was offered was a 3rd round pick around the draft
(3) Lavoie is a C level prospect at best
(4) First will be a late first and Arizona will have no interest in it
Oilers will have to pay up to upgrade, package for Chychrun STARTS with Holloway. No Holloway, no Chychrun</div></div>
Buddy, you need to stop. Barrie is not a cap dump his contract is actually pretty decent if you compare him to other D men with similar production. Hes not the best but he isnt the worst. Puljujarvi definately has trade value teams were low balling hoping Edmonton would move him early to avoid a cap situation or arbitration, now that he is signed about a million and change cheaper than what most thought he would get in arbitration his value is up. Lastly most teams trading for Chychrun are going to be offering a later 1st round pick thats how it works. This is a decent offer and Holloway is not a requirment to get the trade done. Would be a stupid thing for the oilers to move him anyway.

I think Broberg starts on the third pairing with Barrie, that said Nemo would provide some physicality to our defense that we dont have a ton of. I would really like to see him called up and get played for most of the season, maybe if Barrie gets moved or even as the 7th man when we go 11 and 7

You have both grossly overvalued Chychrun, broberg + holloway is a huge overpayment. I do agree that Arizona would retain any money though

Yeah but in this case they are trading Puljujarvi to upgrade the defense so there is a downgrade at winger. A position they are strong at

Soucy can play the right side with Broberg and be a better safety net than Barrie and Eberle can be a veteran presence on the third line.
Im not as strong on the eberle addition but Soucy would be great to have

Puljujarvi to Beauvillier is a downgrade but I dont think its too much and hes got a bit more experience that I think will help on a 3rd line with Mcleod and holloway. Mayfield to Barrie is the upgrade in my opinion. Mayfield is a more defensive physical defensemen that will provide a better safety net for Broberg to develop. The GF% between those two likely is affected by Barries PP time. 5x5 would probably not favour him

No need to trade for him just offer sheet him and use Puljujarvi and Barrie to replace the picks. If you offer 8.4 its a 1st 2nd and 3rd and still over the stars available cap space. I still would rather see defensive improvments over another forward addition
