Keep Patty and TK Together
those Provorov & Konecny contracts are so far from what they'll actually be. Provorov will not get bridged (so it'll be higher and longer) and TK would never sign a 4-year deal (it'll either be 2 or 6 years).

All of the draft picks surrendered for an offer sheet have to be the team's original draft picks. You can't trade for a pick and include it unless you're re-acquiring your own draft pick that you had previously traded away.

(BUF/PHI) - Bailey for Leier
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rebecca</b></div><div>They can have 5/6/7 vets (>320 pro games) but only dress 4 per night (plus a 5th with up to 280gp). I was going off what the OP said regarding Leier being over that threshold, I didn’t crunch the numbers in that regard. But if you’re right then this discussion is moot.</div></div>
They can dress up to 6 AHL vets (AHL vet = 260 or more games played in NHL + AHL + KHL + SHL) per night, but one of them has to be under 320 games.

Simmonds trades at TDL - 5 possibilities I have in mind
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div>These Simmons trades in the past month are getting somewhat silly, going be historical past trades. A good Evander Kane was traded for a second and fourth (26 in each round) and Statsny 1st and 4th (27th in each round.</div></div>
You can't predict future trades based on past returns. I think you also probably don't understand how Wayne Simmonds is viewed as a player and a person to be able to gauge his return value.

(BUF/PHI) - Bailey for Leier
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>rebecca</b></div><div>That’s a good point. That said the Flyers could send Lehtera-Weise down at any time, they just can’t ice them all at the same time. But this move does create space as Bailey is under the 320gp cut-off. They’re opposite shots, Bailey is a year younger. Both players seemed to be on the outs in terms of NHL opportunities with their respective organization so it’s most fundamentally a “change of scenery” move. Fair deal.</div></div>
They can send any one player down at any time because they only have 4 AHL vets on the team. Leier wasn't one and Bailey isn't one so this trade doesn't effect that situation at all.

No he doesn't. Next year he will (so will Bailey), but neither of them are AHL vets this year.

Deals on deals on deals
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>That's not a terrible at all. Simmonds probably doesn't re-sign anyways and hes over 30. The 1st probably wont be high with Stone there and another lottery player on the team in 2019. Andy gives them a solid goalie who can split games with Hart. Boedker at 2 million is great, he can play the 3rd line really well. The only thing you give is Myers whos a good prospect and probably an 18-24 pick and you get rid of Macdonald</div></div>
They don't need anymore $2M 3rd line guys. There's a reason Raffl, Weise, Weal, etc are gone after their deals expire. And giving up Myers to get rid of MacDonald is stupid when there's only 1 year left on his contract and you can just go sign Stone as a UFA in July.

That's a terrible trade for the Flyers, even with getting Stone. Also, no chance Farabee & O' Brien leave school after 1 season.

What is the point of this given the fact that the best thing you get in return for taking these bad contracts is Puljujarvii & Nichushkin? They don't need anymore middling prospects or 2nd/3rd round picks.

Because people generally think their own viewpoint is that of everyone else. Flyers fans have been down on him for almost 2 years now because he's pretty inconsistent and frustrating to watch play and he makes a lot of money so they think he has no trade value. But he's actually a good player with a lot of trade value. He'd return much more than just a mid-to-late 1st round pick if they actually traded him.

The Flyers would never do that trade. Ghost is their PP QB, #2 d-man and is on a ridiculously cheap contract. You say he can't play D but that just means you haven't watched him in the last year-and-a-half.
AND they're giving up a 1st round pick? lmao gtfoh.

I’d probably be an alcoholic too. Crawford isn’t playing with the Hawks for the forseeable future...like damn man. How thick can you really be? Lehner’s the Isles most likely starter imo, him and Greiss will flip-flop starts.</div></div>
