You see it a lot because a lot of Blues fans keep doing it lol. I know some Pens fans do, but it's mainly been Blues fans.

Yeah, you're absolutely wrong and they're also not moving him. Karlsson's analytics have been great, his production has been excellent and he's not part of the problem other than not being great on the PP. He has 19 points in his last 20 games. Dude is killing it.

You have to be joking. First, Dubas made it clear that Karlsson is considered part of the core and he's not touching the core. Second, no way Dubas will retain $5M for three more years when they plan on trying to be a playoff team.

You guys are becoming worse than leafs fans. Stop sending us Saad. Him being from Pittsburgh means nothing and we don't need another aging winger on a not-great contract. Dubas clearly said, plain as day, he wants to make this team younger. Please guys, stop.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>csick</b></div><div>Late 1sts are meaningless in a tkachuk trade, probably like the 4th best piece if its included</div></div>
This is what happens when high profile players gets moved. The returns rarely satisfy. That's why there's value in already existed players and prospects. How many high profile players have you seen get moved to a team in positions like SJ or AZ?
Realistically, teams probably get better overall returns on guys like Toffoli than they do star players. It's not the 1980's where you can get all these wild trades that send half the team lol

If he was moved, that would probably be unlikely. I know he doesn't have a trade clause, but I'd imagine they'd work with him to go a team that's playoff-bound, so you'd be looking at a late round pick.

I think someone like Jake is exactly what you need. I know you have Girioux, but he's done after next season. You'll need a capable vet who knows how to win in the playoffs to usher in your new guys. Every cup team has them and with the cap going up, his hit won't be that significant. I'm not saying this is the best offer you'd get, but it's probably up there. It also helps you for the future with Yager.

There's less than zero chance that Tkachuk is moved, but if he WAS, I think the Pens can make a real offer that makes sense.
TO PIT: Brady Tkachuk
TO OTT: Guentzel (with extension), 1st, 2nd and Brayden Yager
If you're not familiar with Yager, kid is gonna be a stud. We don't have a lot of prospects, but he's a really good one.

I don't LOVE the idea of spending $4M on Iafallo, but this is a pretty solid offer. If you swapped out Iafallo with Appleton you'd have a deal. It's reported Dubas wants a younger roster player in the deal, so that would fit the bill.

Guentzel at the TDL
I think this is truly one of the first legit offers I've seen for Jake, so I'm not gonna nitpick. All I'll say, is my PERSONAL preference would be Dorofeyev over Denisenko. It's been reported that Dubas would like a young roster player.

Rielly Smith would’ve been a good addition to Buffalo two or three years ago, but not now. He has nothing left to give anyone, especially not this team, and that cap hit forget it. If he can’t do anything in Pittsburgh, what makes you think he’s gonna help Buffalo? Send him to a team like San Jose that probably needs his contract to hit the cap floor.</div></div>
Huberdeau, Meier, Bertuzzi... sometimes good players are poor fits on certain teams/systems.

Post trade dead line Reconstruction
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bcarlo25</b></div><div>i just don't think that's overly realistic. the primary reason for this is that it's not like the entire league will be able to bid on crosby. if he's moved, it's crosby's decision, and i'm guessing that he will want two things:
1. a team that he wants to play for that is cup competitive, and has a real need for him - Boston and Colorado are really the only ones that come to mind.
2. that the team isn't stripped of things that will help them compete for a cup over the next two seasons. so i think prospects that are NHL ready are out.
That leaves draft picks, and probably a roster player to make the money work. I don't think teams are going to move more than two first round picks for a guy crosby's age (even though they probably should). Therefore, because it isn't exactly in a vacuum, i think this is a pretty reasonable offer.</div></div>
Your logic is incredibly flawed and dismisses actual value. It's not a reasonable offer. Not even a little. You're not gonna get an elite level player for that little.

I would cash in for a 3rd though since we will have prospects trickling in.</div></div>
He's a 31 year old one-dimensional winger who offers not much of anything other than scoring and his scoring is very inconsistent and signed to two more years passed this. If a team is willing to take his cap-hit off the books without sending back a salary they'd jump all over it.
