ATTENTION GMs: The BOG has decided that the GM Game trade deadline will be <strong>March 31st at 11:59 pm EST</strong>. Any trades made after this time will be invalid. In order to ensure maximum participation in the TDL, the BOG will allow each team to be involved in eight (8) trades during the month of March. The regular four (4) trade limit is still in effect for February. The playoff schedule is currently being discussed and will be released at a later date.

<strong>Attention GMs:</strong>

<strong>Rule change: </strong>
Beginning in February, all NTC and m-NTC will be voided entirely. NMC will remain solely for the purpose of the expansion draft: players with NMC can be moved freely but must be protected per expansion draft rules.

<strong>Contract Adjustments:</strong>
Due to some "funny business" in the UFA signing period last summer, we have decided to restructure some of the absurd contracts awarded. Contracts that meet BOTH of the following criteria
1.Contract signed by a GM that no longer manages the signing team, AND
2.Contract has not been traded/remains on signing team
will be reverted to the IRL contracts at the end of the season/beginning of the offseason. This means that players who received 1 year deals IRL will re-enter free agency. All other contracts should be adjusted by the GMs of their respective teams <em>AT THE END OF THE SEASON OR IF/WHEN THEY ARE TRADED TO A NEW TEAM</em>.

See the list below for a list of contracts that meets the criteria. Please reply to the BOG if you believe your team has an eligible contract that is not listed below.

We've got a good team because everyone knows it's clear who is expendable and who is not. Gardiner/Zaitsev/Johnsson/Lindholm from the roster.

Sure a GM can be patient, but there is no way Muzzin is moving without the first round pick. Hes not a pending UFA, he still has value if LAK decided to hang onto him into the draft or even next trade deadline. And im sure other teams would have offered just as much at the deadline.

Dubas stated Nylander is a core piece and won't be traded. Never know but its highly unlikely he will move after July 1.
Gardiner is definitely gone now. Muzzin is a cheaper replacement next season. I don't see much value in moving Gardiner at the trade deadline, but never know on that. Misewell have a free rental.

Hopefully Zaitsev gets moved so we can free some space. Right now theres $4M in cap space not including performance bonuses, so definitely will be interesting to see what Leafs do on the 25th.

With things starting to slow down a bit in the game at this time of year, I wanted to take this opportunity to send out a blanket message to everyone.

Simply put, I would like to extend warm holiday wishes to everyone. People tend to use this time of year to cherish spending time with family and friends.
For myself I'm on my own. No family, no significant other, partly by choice and partly because that's the way life goes. I was very fortunate to be welcomed into this game almost 1 year ago and since then have enjoyed the discussions, disagreements and even arguments with all I've engaged with.
It's hard to imagine that a group of strangers interacting through an online game can become "friends" but I do think that's what has happened here. Of course some of you have been around much longer and likely know more about each other, but I've always tried to view each of you as an actual person on the other side of the screen, and at times made a conscious effort to get to know a bit about each of you and your personal lives.

With that in mind, I sincerely hope each of you has an enjoyable Holiday season with those close to you and that you take a moment to look inward and understand how fortunate you are to have those people in your lives to share this time of year with.
So whether you simply have a GF/BF, wife, parents, kids no matter who they are make this season one to remember. Life is so very precious, and surprisingly short that nothing should ever be taken for granted, and life is made so much better because of the special people in our lives.
