He may not be good this year but nobody on our team is. He was a complete stud last year and that is more likely what he will be in the future as opposed to what he is this year. This is actually a blessing for Philly as he is in a contract year!

I actually don’t think this trade is too bad, think that philly could use an RHD though. Maybe add a close to ready prospect.

Would Ottawa trade Chabot? Would Columbus trade Werenski? Would Buffalo trade Dahlin? Would Dallas trade Heiskanen? Would Colorado trade Makar?
The answer is no. So, why would Philly consider trading their star young defenseman

And if the return is good enough... they do have 5 LHD on the active roster. 1st round pick Suzuki and Brook. Seems like a good deal for a struggling team. The personally I think they should ship out ghost and keep the young kids.
