If we grab a talent like Celebrini, I think we have no use to go for Necas.
We would have: Celebrini, Suzuki, Caufield, Slaf, Dach, Roy, Newhook

caufield is younger by 2 years. Necas was putting up 40 points a the same age that caufield will put 60 ish points.
Canes fans will say necas is more valuable, habs fan will says its caufield. I'll let fans of other teams decide.

Hawks probably decline. Farrell is a solid prospect. But the Hawks don't need any more smallish forwards. Just make it Dvorak and a 2nd for F/C and call it a day.

TDL and draft day
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>I just don't agree with trading good assets for longshots, there is a reason every team passed on Huuhtanen 6 times and he was one of the last players selected in the draft. Maybe he has matured enough to be worth a later 1st, maybe he hasn't, his game obviously still has warts though cause Tampa could really use good cheap help and they still aren't calling him up. I am willing to bet his stock hasn't risen as much as you think, otherwise every GM around the league would be calling up Tampa and trying to acquire him. I am not saying he isn't a good or even great prospect, I am just saying that I personally wouldn't take the risk of him not ending up another Puljujarvi</div></div>
huuhtanen isnt considered a "long shot" anymore. When he was first drafted as the last pick in the entire draft he was definitely a long shot but now he is arguably the 1st or 2nd best prospect in the liiga. He dropped so far because his skating was an issue but it has since progressed to a level that it doesnt impact his play too much. Again tampa doesnt bring guys up until they are 21/22 yrs old or if they are dominating in a younger league like the NCAA/ CHL. Huuhtanen will probably get a contract over the summer and play in syracuse next season or if he has a good camp could possibly make the team. Also the TDL isnt here yet so he might be dealt at the deadline or he might not be, it depends on how much JBB values him. There is just as much risk in acquiring huuhtanen as there would be in any other prospect of his caliber. The comparable would be if I said that I wouldnt want to trade for Joshua Roy just because he was drafted in the 5th round but he has obviously improved a lot since then.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Campabee</b></div><div>Look at Drouin, he had 100 point season in the Q and 2 50 point seasons in the NHL still wouldn't trade Savard and Evans for him. It's gonna take a 2nd + 3rd to get Savard and probably another 3rd for Evans, value wise you can trade a 2nd + 2 3rds at the draft for a pick in the 15-20 OVA range would you trade 15th-20th OVA for Huuhtanen?!</div></div>
? what even is this take? peak drouin coming off of the 100 point seasons in the Q and 2 50 point seasons in the NHL was worth way more than Savard and Evans and then declined precipitously. Drouin was an outlier case, you cant be comparing other prospects numbers to his. Huuhtanen is worth a late first to a high second right now. He won liiga rookie of the year last year and is currently top 10 in scoring in the league at 20 years old while bringing a big physical presence. But if for some reason you dont value prospects very much then tampa will gladly take owen beck for a 5th.

Management also likes Huuhtanen after last camp, not sure if they'd consider moving him.</div></div>
Agree that Huuhtanen would not be in play. I saw him play a couple game and he look like a stud. Great scouting job by the Lightning.

Well being constructive but still saying it's not enough quality there. If Zegras is moved, and that's a big if, it's going to be in a similar move as Drysdale. A move where they actually upgrade their team and only make it substantially worse. It would have to be something like Jiricek, if he actually wanted out, or Leonard in Washington if they try to push again. There is no reason to trade him for a bunch of lottery tickets.

You said please no comments like « quality over quantity » but that is honestly constructive criticism. Zegras is young and a proven scorer and here you’ve offered 3 pieces that hold value but not nearly enough(Dvorak at this point holds little to no value). If we want Zegras it’s gonna cost a piece that really hurts and let’s be honest losing any of these pieces wouldn’t hurt more than removing a bandaid especially if a young top 6 player is the return.

In order to move Zegras, there needs to be a wow piece. That wow piece is Reinbacher.
Reinbacher and MTLs 25 2nd is the starting point, and taking Dvorak the other way will add cost because his real money owed is significantly above his cap hit, and that's a poison pill for a small market team.

TDL and draft
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Caniac2000</b></div><div>I majorly disagree with this. The reason he's not worth it isn't because of his production. It's his known injury history. Looking at other players looking like they're going to be available this deadline, there's players like Lindholm who don't have the lengthy injury issues, or Tarasenko whose been healthier in the last 3 season or so. I understand wanting a lot for him, but the reasons he won't return it aren't fixed by his on-ice production</div></div>
His injury history far less of a worry than I think those in the outside think. Every team has doctor recommendations and can see the players history. Monahan needed a new hip and got one, hasn't been a problem since. Last year he broke a bone in his foot which happens to a lot of players with full recoveries.
And this year he's been getting better and playing consistently well while being injury free. I get the concern but I think teams doctors would be telling them that the risks for Monahan are the same as any other rental.

He missed games last year, Backstrom got one and can't skate. Kane got one and he's healthy, ish, but not at his best. There are a lot more cases of players struggling to come back from that than succeeding.</div></div>
He missed games because of his foot last year, not his hip. Hip is now two years old and is fully functioning. Kane and Backstrom are both more than 5 years older than Monahan and had hip surgery in their 30s, not at 27, very different situations.

Guy was a 70 + game a year player before his hip went and he had to miss significant time. Before that it was the normal bumps and bruises every NHL player goes through. There's only a hand full of players that actually play 82 games a year.
I get your point to make your argument but he's showed that he is back to form this year and I think teams will have to meet Hughes price of they want him

He's been the best center on the market this year and also has the most affordable AAV, add in retention and it's even more of a deal. If Monahan isn't worth a 1st then no other rental on the market this year is
