You are so way off it's not even funny. Try adding a 1st and some prospects to the Pens to get this conversation started.
I mean, this trade is absolute lunacy.

I see where you’re getting at but if they deal Chychrun they don’t want contracts coming back to match that value, they’d want picks/draft capital and prospects to match the value.

lol Kulak reported ask from the Oilers is 2.5mx4 and who knows what Giroux is willing to sign for.

Murray has negative value, you're certainly not getting anything of substance for him, and why would Edmonton want him? They need a good goalie especially after the run they had last season

Thanks. Found the article that inspired the tweet. My interpretation was that Gregor thinks Trenin would be someone EDM would be interested in, if they're trading JP - not that there are rumours about NSH considering trading Trenin.

Sure will. Chychrun has no clauses in his contract and signed for three years. AZ holds all the cards.

Building a Team To Win A Stanley Cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OhKennyHolland</b></div><div>Last time, TB acquired Hagel for 3rd 1st round picks, didn't end out well... Either way, the main priority of this team is to find a good goalie and provide secondary scoring to McDavid and Draisaitl. Since Woody and Manson took over, the defense has looked fine IMO. Holloway had a strong performance in the AHL which makes him a lock for the main roster next season. He is basically our best prospect rn and trading him for Dobson ALONG WITH BROBERG AND ANOTHER 1ST is wayy too much to offer from Edmonton's side.</div></div>
I see what you're getting at, this design is based off the Avs and the defence pairings for all the spots including, Toews-Makar, Byram-Johnson, Girard-Manson. So I got Oilers all defencemen in their prime and elite. Living up to the Defence wins Championship style. Oilers can get away with it if the Bottom 6 is upgraded as the top 6 is elite already

Oilers forward group with Holloway
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>mauston_atthews</b></div><div>The oilers forward group is mid. Adding Holloway makes it midder</div></div>
Oilers are the 3rd highest scoring team in the 24 games since adding Kane. And Nugent-Hopkins (11 games missed), Puljujarvi (12), Kassian (13) and Archibald (20) have missed a significant number of games in that span. McDavid (1.38 P/GP) and Draisaitl (1.17 P/GP) have scored at less than their usual pace too. This team is likely top-3 down the stretch for offense.

I mean not terrible but I think a goaltender could have boosted this team to contenders. Even kakhkonen wouldve been an upgrade over current Mike Smith. Although I would love for last years Smith to return

Wait - are you saying Barrie isn't offensively gifted?
I made those pairings because Keith - Bouchard have been good recently. I'm happy putting Keith - Barrie out there too, they've been good too albeit in a smaller sample size.

Josi for Norris
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OhKennyHolland</b></div><div>Roman Josi: 58 GP: 17G, 52A,<strong> 69 PTS. </strong> (1st in scoring among D)
Cale Makar: 57 GP: 21G, 45A, <strong>66 PTS. </strong> (2nd in scoring among D)
<strong>Roman Josi among d-man:</strong>
- 1st in points (69)
- 2nd in goals (17)
- T-1st in assists (52)
- 1st in PTS/GP (1.19)
- 1st in PPG (8)
- T-1st in PPP (27)
- T-1st in EV Strength Pts (42)
- 1st in shots on goal (203)
I'm not trying to say Makar is not good. He's having a ridiculous year especially in goals. I'm just trying to prove how Josi is underrated and is comparable to Makar. There has been so many comments saying, "Makar is putting up Bobby Orr numbers" but he's not even leading D in scoring. My argument is Josi is more valuable to the team. Makar is 7 points behind on Kadri, the Avalanche leading point scorer. On the other hand, Josi as a D-man is first in NSH scoring, 6 points clear. Josi is literally the cornerstone of NSH defense and is putting up underrated monstrous numbers this year. Josi already has 7 POINTS IN HIS LAST 2 GAMES.
Lets also take a look at all of them defensively:
Josi (current season stats) : 29 takeaways, 51 giveaways, 0.51 GA, 93 blocked shots.
Makar (current season stats): 28 takeaways, 27 giveaways, 1.04 GA, 72 blocked shots.
Roman Josi definitely deserves some attention as I think he should be the favorite for the Norris. It's crazy to think he can play at this level even at the age of 31.
After all these impressive numbers, these are the votes from other NHL writers:
Cale Makar, Colorado Avalanche, 75 points (15 first-place votes);
Victor Hedman, Tampa Bay Lightning, 54;
Roman Josi, Nashville Predators, 40;
Aaron Ekblad, Florida Panthers, 32;
Adam Fox, New York Rangers, 17
… and that's why Josi is underrated.</div></div>
Legit though even without scoring he's the best d-man in the NHL night in and night out. He's impressive in all three zones and he makes his d-partner better.
