Nashville could probably get more than that for Carrier. I’d assume they’d be looking at picks straight up for him (somewhere in the realm of a 2nd sounds reasonable)
Gotta think SEA declines as well

Very well built. Strong on the puck. Above average shot. Middling in the defensive zone. High skill. Could be a 2nd line forward for sure

Doubt Preds trade Parssinen. Despite my early reactions to Parssinen being sent down, I think it’s doing him well. He just looked like he was lacking confidence at the NHL-level, so I assume it’s refreshing for him to do as he pleases at the AHL-level. I think some time down could do him good

I doubt the Preds would ever seriously consider trading Forsberg. Now, if they did, I’d assume there would be better packages than this on the table

Panicking LA
After the Lindholm and Monahan trades, Nashville is in a real advantageous situation. They have the top available C at the TDL (unless I’m forgetting someone). I think they’d be after a 1st at least

Role Players
I got a lot of personal bias here, but Colton Sissons totally deserves to be on a list like this. He’s been the Preds most trusted defensive C for years and a face off ace. I don’t remember exactly what Laviolette said during the Stanley cup run in 2017, but it was to this effect: “I got a guy I can always trust to take those defensive zone draws in late game situations. It’s Colton Sissons.” He’s always just been a solid presence. There’s a reason all Lavi, Hynes, and Bruno have loved him.
But this is a great list, but I think there’s something to be said for adding PP specialists to this list. The ability to consistently help your team cash out on the PP can’t be understated

Healing Gourde
I would think that Askarov is ready for a backup role, but I have doubts that the Preds want to make him a consistent NHLer this year. There’s something to be said for him staying in Milwaukee where he has a legit chance at a Calder Cup and will get a serious amount of playoff action. Id think that’d be the course the Preds take

Im higher on Parssinen than I am on Kaliyev, so I’d say the Preds decline - plus, Pars can play center, which is a nice bonus for a team that is not deep down the middle

Trotz is making calls
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>NickC1988</b></div><div>I think this team needs to be more aggressive and accumulate picks. I get they're in a wild card spot, but there's no way they can make a deep run the way the west is loaded. They need to draft a 1C and a RD. This roster is not strong, the results are a product of the system.</div></div>
I’m totally in agreement with you there. However, this was a response to Trotz saying he’s looking to “find the right pieces.” I gotta assume that means he’s looking to make moves.
For me, trading Saros would be the preferred option. We could get a good RD prospect + a 1st probably. I’d be down for that. Seamus Casey always comes to mind in the scenario
Edit: I do think there’s a lot of potential in this roster though. Evangelista and Tomasino are both offensively-gifted play drivers, but both lack opportunity due to the structure of the team. Afanasyev, Svechkov, ZLH, Kemell, and Askarov are looking solid in the AHL too. This team has plenty of talent coming up, but you’re right in saying that they lack a true 1C/1RD. However, I think the Preds would be more keen on making draft day moves than on selling off a large part of the roster. Trading into the top 10 to draft a guy like Helenius or making a Saros deal to add a 1st and a guy like Casey are probably more likely than a full on tank.

Interesting idea
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ennis</b></div><div>I'm fine with all of these, Don't know if Buffalo wants to move CM though. I'd probably want one of their prospects. CM Looks to be better as a winger and we need help down the middle</div></div>
I saw all the Mitts trades on here and figured I’d get in on it. I think it’d make sense for them to move him for a goalie and top 4 defensive D man. I think those are their top two needs and they’re being addressed here. From the Nashville side though, I think Mitts is still very good C. Isn’t the change from LW to C last year what sparked is emergence too? Putting him next to two offensively gifted players like Vange and Novak could make for an exciting line as well.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>I read the deal, that's not the framework for it, because (see my first comment)
We're not shopping Zegras, we have plenty of middle and bottom 6 pieces that you get with later 1st round picks. Zegras only heads out for a young blue chip winger, or a young blue chip RHD.</div></div>
By now, I’d think ZLH would qualify as that blue chip winger prospect. Producing at every level he’s been at and physically/mentally dominates his opponents (when he’s not being stupid)
