GM JR goes nuts
Brassard trade is only deal I would do. The other 2 dont even deserve to be thought about or mentioned again.

PIT-FLA
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MajesticWalrus</b></div><div>Jarry is young and a potential star goalie. Panthers have neither of those right now. Luongo has always been a star goalie and STILL IS but hes not playing right now, hes injured, a pattern now that hes older. Luongo is also really old and could retire at any moment especially with all his injuries. Reimer wont carry any team. Also sprong has succeeded at every level, at the top of the goals list in the AHL last year. He was also supposed to go higher in his draft but he dropped cause of his attitude. Maatta has always been good and projected to be really good but he just has bad foot speed which can be fixed with better conditioning. Sheahan is a great fast two way bottom 6 centre. Not to mention a first which can turn out to be a superstar with good drafting. Pittsburgh gets trochek in return. Pysyk is no gem and even if you think he is, no way he plays more minutes than schultz and letang on that right side. So pittsburgj is giving all that for just trochek</div></div>
Tristan Jarry a potential star goalie? He's played 27 NHL games with a .907sv% behind a great team. He's also played 95 games in the AHL behind a great team and has a mediocre .914sv%. What about that says superstar potential? He's he can be good, but he's no superstar. There's no proof he'll be better than Reimer.
Maatta is what he is, he isn't getting faster with better conditioning, if that was the case Penguins would have whipped him into shape by now. He's good, but he's slow.
And the chances a high 20's low 30's pick will turn into a superstar is extremely low.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Yinz3r</b></div><div>giving up way too much not only are you giving up sprong, the teams best trade chip, you're also giving up jarry who will be a good starter in the league eventually. as well as two good roster players and a first. not worth getting rid of our future for two decent players. Trocheck would be the 4th C . even if he plays RW he is still on the 4th line .</div></div>
Trocheck would be fine as a second line player on the wing. 75 points on a team that while close, ultimately didn't qualify for the playoffs while not even playing on a line with Barkov at just 25 years old seems pretty appealing and would be a huge asset for PIT.

Getting help for Brassard
Trade with Detroit ok.
Trade with Toronto No thanks. Think sprong have more potential to play on top 6 than Kapanen.

Respectfully disagree, the value is even as far as I'm concerned.

top ten forward lines
it kills me to admit this but Marchand is a top 3 lw......depending on how you value your wingers ( goals or set up guys) he might be rated higher than ovi.......hall should be #1 based off last season that guy had a crazy good year
also Giroux was moved to wing and played very well I would move him up and Kane need s to be a top 2 rw
but cool idea good job

LW for Geno
Ignoring that the package you're sending the Kings probably isn't enough for how highly they value their own players, Pearson's even strengrh production barely beats what Hagelin brings, and you now have five lefty defensemen on the roster.

2nd year overhaul
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Pens4Life</b></div><div>The Penguins love players that can play center and wing and they gain cap room. Vegas gets Kessel an elite scorer that is known to free lance a bit which Gallant lets his players go and play their game. I think the tatar trade didn't plan as they hoped, seeing that he wasn't even an everyday player after arriving there. The Spurgeon trade was trying to get a right hand shot and not having to pay 11mil a year for karlsson.</div></div>
Sorry if I misspoke but, I agreed on the Kessel trade. I was just elaborating on what you’d be getting from Haula on the ice. I’m ok with the Tatar trade too. The Spurgeon one is what I disagree with because I see Theodore having too much potential to be a Top2 blueliner within the next two seasons, which means I would build around him with Schmidt, Miller, McNabb, and two others to replace Holden and Engelland.

Maatta for Skinner on its own is a bad deal, let alone swapping RFAs and a possible 2 1st round picks.
Why is everyone over rating Skinner. dude had 49 points not 80. we paid less for Kessel.
