I would probably take this. I know fans see Ceci as a negative but most GMs would probably see a perfectly fine defender locked up for two more years ...

Hawks decline. Domi half retained costs a 2nd. Kemp doesn't come close to paying to move Foegele out. Replace Kemp with the '23 3rd and Hawks probably accept

Yeah, I figured. Like I said, there's a significant chance they would accept that. There's also some chance that they find an offer or separate offers that they like better.

Blues won't be using two retention slots on this trade when they have 3 bigger UFA to trade.

The biggest reason why stl doesn't do this is because you can only retain on 3 contracts. If we are trading ROR and Tarasenko and Barbashev we will be retaining on them and not Acciari and Mikkola. They already have a low enough salary where we don't need to retain on them

Sharks take that and run lol.
both players have positive metrics on an sub par team and add grit and toughness to a roster but are not much more than depth players, though Megna is looking very much like this years Middleton find (slightly older big D who teammates love and ends up becoming a stable top 4 D)
sharks have been so good at finding guys like him and building them up (Dillon, Braun, Demello Middleton and Megna) over the years.

I would be targeting Ras if I were EDM, obviously the cost would be different</div></div>
Rasmussen isn't going anywhere. He has taken longer to develop but he has taken great strides this season. He is turning into a complete player, and is learning how to use his body with physicality. Rasmussen may very well develop into that coveted 2C slot.

Arizona is going to ask for 1 of Holloway or Bourgault plus 2 1st round picks. That has always been the price. From Ottawa it was 2 1sts and Pinto. This was during the offseason. His value has only gone up!
Then you need to add the cap with a Foegele or Pool Party

Dickinson would probably be a good pickup for the Oilers bottom six.
What about bringing back Sheahan for a 4C role?

Kapanen's cap hit for next year makes this not work for EDM. That being said, the pick swap does make the deal very tempting.

Not sure if he has to go on waivers again after passing through many times now, however yes I do think the Bruins would be fine giving him to you for free with the return of McAvoy soon.
EDIT:
Never mind I just saw Reilly is on waivers now lmao

I think this is a solid move. We would need to trade either Yamo or Pulj though when Kane gets back.

Love the thought of getting Weegar. But i think they would want Pulji. Kevin Weeks reported that Florida was interested in him, they have a couple of young Finnish players he would probably click with. I also was just looking at their prospect pool and they have very few RHD coming up in their system so im wondering if they would prefer Kesserling instead of Samorukov??

Forget about Kane
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Quillanrocks</b></div><div>I don't disagree with you; I dread to think what $$ and term Seattle may be stuck with if Francis goes hard after Klingberg and would prefer they pivot elsewhere if too rich and too long. (God knows his first 3 BIG signings aren't looking too good!!) But Klingberg can defend and has a history with Oleksiak, so I get the appeal if I'm Francis. And I just hesitate to spend draft picks on players who aren't sure to be a fit for this team how it is currently designed. Barrie doesn't seem like the guy. He ran the PP with 2 of the top 5 players on earth. His numbers are inflated and no one would ever confuse him for a defender that you'd trust to preserve a lead!! Nothing about Seattle's roster says "that's the guy to make the team better." JMO!</div></div>
Well both Tippett and woodcroft have used Barrie late in games to hold leads and woodcroft actually moved Barrie onto the pk when it was struggling to snap out of it. The reputation about Barrie not being able to defend are very much over blown and inaccurate. That being said not suggesting he's a shut down type definitely a playmaker more than defender but much more capable than most on this site will credit him for. Kinda like how you pointed out he ran a pp with two extremely talented players personally don't think it's right to view it in a way that takes away from giving the credit earned. Multiple other players have ran that pp over the years klef nurse bouch but with Barrie it hit historic heights for extended period of time. The perception of Barrie on this site just seems well off what it should be in my opinion.
