Get Rid of Boyle
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PavelBuchnevich</b></div><div><i>You sound like one of those Rangers fans that think Boyle has been a problem but Girardi hasn't. The arguments against Boyle have been ridiculous. Girardi's been so bad it shouldn't even be a discussion but ya know he's a "warrior" and got "toughness". You see MacKinnon make G look like a fool the other night and let up a goal? He belongs on the third line and playing MAYBE ten minutes a night.
Also Boyle would fetch more than a 7th haha but he's not going anywhere</i></div></div>
I can't deny that Girardi is bad, but a lot easier to trade Boyle than him. Rangers signed Girardi to a bad contract and now we got to deal with it.

Re-Build If they don't win the Cup
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>robnas94</b></div><div><i>I agree with the rebuilding part, but they'd never take on Clarkson's contract (or get rid of Girardi), they're (unfortunately) not going to trade Stepan (which sucks cause I can't stand him), that Edmonton deal won't happen, and Zuccarello is not worth a first round pick. Only thing that actually might happen is the Klein deal, but I highly doubt it. I'm a Rangers fan btw, so not hating here lol.</i></div></div>
I added Clarkson, because Columbus doesn't have much money so they might be willing to give better assets in return for someone taking his salary. As for the value of the players, yeah most of them I over valued, but i think Stepan could land a middle to late first round pick, second, and a middle six forward, considering what Buffalo gave up for O'Reilly. Your right with the Zucc trade they probably couldn't get a first, but he does have value. Finally, I could see them trading Girardi considering he is getting up there in age, and try to move him before he gets into the back-end of his contract where the Rangers are going to get into trouble.
Why don't you like Stepan?

Yea, they need to get rid of Glass, and i put Stalberg ahead of Etem because Etem hasn't been able to put together a whole NHL season yet. ( I know it has been a few years since Stalberg has produced, but i just gave the spot to the vet)

I don't think the Rangers would want to have Skapski sitting, he would still only be 22 ish. I think Hellberg could be a good option at back-up next year, if he does well in the AHL this year.

Line combos & possibilities
Hayes is terrible at face-offs, move him to the right wing on the second line, then either Lindberg or Stoll can play third line center.

He's not bad, but he is not worth that contract and the Flyers need cap space.

Staal - Campbell Trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>palhal</b></div><div><i>Why do Panthers make this trade? Campbell's contract is up next year and Staal's goes on and on and on. Panther's will want cap space soon...maybe to sign Seabrook.</i></div></div>
Panthers need a reliable veteran defenseman, and they are going to have to break the bank to get Seabrook, and just get in cap trouble. Staal is a top 4 guy with a reasonable contract.

Shultz is overpaid, but that is what Stepan is realistically going to sign for.

Going for it With Some Veteran Signings
Signed Cole and Visnovsky because they had good last seasons and could be signed to a one year deal so if it doesn't work out then they could be gone by next season. Fransson would want a longer term deal.

Trades Build Champions
If Washington is looking to win now, I think they would still add Sharp even though they added Oshie and Williams. Also Oshie is a UFA next year so then if its the trade deadline and they are still in the race then they could move Oshie and it wouldn't hurt their play-off chances.

Realistic
Pirri had 22 goals last season and Lindberg probably wasn't going to make the team, therefore from a win now perspective your only giving up Fast who is a fringe 3rd liner and Klein who is coming off of a career year and probably wont post the same numbers and your getting a guy that can help with the scoring problem.

Rebuild Continued
1) I could see a package of maybe Chris Tierney and two mid to late picks. Also what ever player the sharks would need to get rid of to fit under the cap. (Mike Brown if SJ doesn't want him)
2) Maybe Chris Tierney again and picks. (Mike Brown if SJ doesn't want him)
3) To get both JVR and Kadri it would have to be a large return no only because of the talent but also because SJ would have to clear cap. So maybe a package of Tierney, Wingles, Dillon, and maybe one of the big guns in Marleau/Thorton.
As you said the sharks are in a win now, but I also do not see them giving up Hertl or Nieto or another really good young player and Toronto does necessary want Wingles because of his age.
In all all three of these trades are unlikely without Marlea/Thorton because Hertl and Nieto are RFA net year and the sharks don't want to be up against the cap and not be able to sign them. I also don't see Toronto wanting either of these guys so a third team would have to be involved. All in all its not impossible but it is unlike that one of these trades is able to be spun.
Would you make any of these trades?
Who would you want SJ to give up for JVR, Kadri, or both?

Scrap-It
With the Robidas trade, Paajarvi spent most of the year in the minors so he isn't helping St.Louis and they can't waste space signing him because they need to pay Tarasenko this off-season.

Anaheim w/ Campbell Trade
It would give them a boost to bring their defense over the top and Florida is keeping a large percentage of the cap hit so Anaheim is also paying for that.
