I have not seen much of that. I have seen a lot of lowball offers for him and Sens fans calling people out for it.

Which team says no? lol just curious because it could go either way.
I think its a fair ask on the Sens side but it would be a total disaster for the preds if they don't with the cup this year.
Look at it this way:
Duchene and Dzingel for Tolvanen, Smith, and a 2019 1st
Stone for Fabbro, Conditional 2020 1st, and 2021 2nd
I think that's pretty close considering those 1sts would be 25th+. It's just not likely that one team trades for all 3 players. OTT could maximize the return if all 3 were traded to different teams.

Sens decline that. They are going to try like hell to re-sign him. If they can’t they will get more than that via trade.

this AGM was based on duchene and Stone. Also im not a Ottawa fan, so I know nothing about their bottom 6. I do agree that 9 is to high for Duchene though.

3 Way trade
even with their 1st going back, OTT would refuse the deal, the prospects coming back are well bad. and even at 18.5% chance of 1OA is not worth a 1C, a top 5-10 RW and a top 6 forward (Dzingle)

3 way wBuffalo and Tampa
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shibbal18</b></div><div>I don't think it's extremely tilted in Buffalos favor at all. If Ryan can perform in OTT, Okposo will be able to, Callahans contract comes off before Ryan, Smith is a cap dump. Cirelli is definitely a top 6 Center for Ottawa, they get a first they don't have, Verhaeghe could easily win a spot in Ottawa's middle 6, and they'll be taking on bad cap anyway in a Duchene trade, for multiple reasons (they add all that salary yet they are still under the cap floor).</div></div>
First of all, Ryan and Okposo play a completely different role, so there's no guarantee that Okposo would produce. The devil you know is better than the devil you don't. With Bobby we at least know what we have.
Smith is over paid, but it's not a very big overpayment. He's like 1 mil over tops. He's also a very useful player, and we have no reason to want to move him unless we get an asset back, not just more bad money. If we sell hard this deadline, we'll still need to hit the floor, and I'd rather do that with Bobby and Smith than Okposo and Callahan. That said, if he'd waive to come to Ottawa, it would be in our best interest to take on that contract in exchange for assets, but that would probably be just picks.
As for Cirelli and Verhaege, they're both useful players, just not in Ottawa. They simply do not address the two biggest needs in Ottawa. We have no right shooting Dmen or natural right wingers in coming up the pipe.
Also could you break down where all the value coming back to Buffalo comes from? I truly can't see what Buffalo gives up that is worth that much. Swapping 1sts is a wash, Foote is in a completely different class than Guhle, Elie and O'reagan are AHL guys, and even most Buffalo fans don't put that high a price on Scandella.

Sens
No thanks from Ottawa. Bura doesn't produce enough offensively to deserve a spot in the top six, and the type of game he plays isn't conducive to a bottom six checking role. Pageau has put up similar numbers offensively, but he's done it by being hard matched against other teams top offensive lines and while being a key part of the Ottawa PK.
Ottawa sacrifices too much defensive security for a marginal improvement in offensive production in the bottom six.

Ottawa could have had Jack Hughes
tbh Keeping the 4th overall pick last year to draft Tkachuk was probably the right move for OTT. A lot can change in the standings still this year and the 2019 OTT pick could end up being a bust. Tkachuk has been terrific when healthy, Sens fans should be happy with that pick

if ottawa didnt mess up with drafting last year
They made the right decision at the time: take the known quantity. So long as that pick doesn't end up being Hughes or Kakko, the Sens got the better player. You could argue that Tkachuk vs Cozens/Dach is a wash.

Future help at goaltending
Still way too early to give up on Gus, and we have the best goalie in the NCAA likely to turn pro at the end of the season, and Hogberg who can still get back on track after this injury. The sens have their guy for the future. The problem is they need a stop gap who can actually start games so Andy doesn't fall to bits by December.
A Petr Mrazek type would be fine. Just need a guy who can play games. McKenna can't, and neither could Condon.

How Much for batherson
Batherson is totally untouchable. Outside of Brady Tkachuk, he's probably got the highest ceiling of all of our prospects.
Appleton had a huge year last year, but I don't think he has the ceiling that DB has, and I don't think Stanley would have much of a future in Ottawa. Our left side is stacked with Chabot, Lajoie, Wolanin and Tychonick all slotting in ahead of him on the depth chart. Even if we do this trade, we've been burned about 1000 times by big Dman since Chara left.
It's cool seeing Batherson getting some love on here though. I don't think he gets the shine he deserves

EDM and ARZ moves - let me know
I like these trades, I think Demers is probably a very moveable D-man right now. Its still very early but Arizona is quickly finding themselves near the bottom of the standings - AGAIN, and if that trend holds another 20 games or so they may be looking to shake things up. But, maybe you could trade Ceci to them, he's a RD like Demers and a younger asset which they might like.
The Edmonton trade could work if you took back a bit more salary, maybe another contract. I get the comment that the Oilers are looking to shed salary and get younger and faster, etc etc - every team is! - but Chiarelli is a bonehead so he might just do it, even if we arm chair GMs would not.
