Thats a good idea! I always see people posting AGMs especially in the playoffs with the title "Lines for tonight".

#1 Goaltender ( for one year), #1 RD Prospect, #1 C Prospect, #15OA pick in 2020, that's a fair bit if you look at the prospects and consider the depth of the 2020 draft

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>draft_em_sign_em_trade_em</b></div><div>I have no use for Rodrigues...but obviously Dubas wants to keep him, why else ask for him to be included in the trade? Players can resign at a cheaper cost than the Q.O. only if the offer is finalized before the NHL Draft, the Monday after the Draft is when Q.O.'s must be giving. So if Dubas doesn't talk Evan to take a paycut before the Draft he'll have to trade him for a pick or get stuck paying him 2 million or reject the Q.O. amount and allow Evan to become an UFA.
I believe Kerfoot stays as 3C.</div></div>
Thanks for the constructive criticism, i know Rodrigues would need to hit UFA in order for us to sign him for less, do you think another team would be willing to pay enough to push the leafs out of contention?

Rodrigues QO is 2M, only reason i signed him to that. Do you have any alternatives for 3C & 4C? Because as long as they have a similar AAV and production im not committed to Rodrigues or Thornton, although i would love Thornton to come on over if he actually wanted a cup

I like it, all the players mentioned may be too pricey dependent on the market, then again its also very possible that the market dictate a lower AAV for these guys, and likely for less term due to the Salary cap staying at 81.5M for the next 2-3 years due to Covid. Its not impossible.

Not terrible by any means, for 2 years i think Miky would take 1.5M, i may seek out Demelo as opposed to Braun, and i think vancouver is high on resigning Toffoli, but who knows. i think that AAV is in the range within 1M, which the Leafs could make up in add deals and being in one of the biggest markets. again, who knows.

New Features
What type of new features would you guys like to see on Capfriendly?
I have an idea for AGMs. It would be nice to look up a player, UFA or otherwise, and see how other people have valued him in previous AGMs. For instance, you type in Parayko and see all of the trades that he was involved in, similarly to how you can look up specific team AGMs. Or Holtby, you could see how much other fans have signed him as a UFA and in doing so people can have a better understanding of the overall consensus on the site.
And editing trades without having to revert them wouldn't end the world.
What features do you think would be neat? Maybe someone at Caofriendly sees this and gets inspired.
****** NO hate to anyone at Capfriendly, just want to see what others think ******

I’m also not huge on signing Petro. I just think we are sacrificing too much depth.
The good news is you kept both Lilly and the 1st.
The team is pretty good. The depth up front suffers but you can’t sign petro without that happening.</div></div>
I wouldnt have considered dermott to sign his QO of $874,125, how many years do you think he would take that at? 1 maybe?
I agree about Pietro, im not a fan of paying big for players that are going to be spent come the last few years of their contracts.
Do you think Pesce could go for Andersen, Johnsson, and a 2nd? fills out some offensive and goaltending depth for CAR, while spending some of the defensive assets. they would have to make some more trades to cut cap but who knows

I know that thats the condition but i never remember when im making my teams lol. yea i figure Mikky would be likely on a 1 year deal for that. My hypothetical dream is that Dubas plays hardball. I was thinking about next years cheap depth. If Mikky plays the way we know he can through a full season next year he will could price himself off the team which would be no bueno

leafs offseason
Dont take it to heart, not that their wrong, but people on this site get off on tearing up anyone and everyone who makes a mistake or has a different opinion.
The following is just some things methinks:
No player (Barrie) will sign to a team only to be traded to another team knowingly. It would require him to make some sort of an agreement with the Leafs to trade him to certain markets, and then the Leafs have control as to where Barrie is going to play and live. A player of Barries age and caliber will be looking to decide where he wants to live out the rest of his career with a bit longer term contract i would guess. Regardless, teams don't trade for players who where just signed as a UFA, they are more likely to sign the player themselves.
Ceci is MAYBE worth league min- 1.5M, he will likely be signed for more than that which will be an over payment in my opinion
Both Dermott and Miky will sign for something like 1.25M for 1 year, 1.5M for 2, or 1.75M for 3 years.
Rodrigues' qualifying offer is 2M, the only way we get him for less is if we do not qualify his qualifying offer, he becomes a UFA, and then we agree to sign him for less than that, but he could negotiate with other teams too which likely pushes the Leafs out of the running.
Spezza will sign for league min
There is no real need for another 6M+ winger for the top 6, defense is the problem
Im not too sure what the value of Murray is, but i have a feeling Johnsson alone isn't it, and i figure he doesn't take a pay cut, he will get payed more than that.
Hamiltons value is astronomical. Its probably something closer to Anderssen, Dermott, Johnsson, and our 2020 1st at LEAST. Otherwise it like includes Willy if it were to happen
I dont think Lilly or Hollander are quite ready yet for the show, one more year in the AHL for Lilly
Also, your over the cap by quite a bit.
I would like to reiterate, this post isn't to trash on your team, just giving my opinions on some points. We try, we learn, we try again. Just don't get discouraged by the folks who love to hate

Thanks for the first comment being a constructive one, Kerfoot actually played some time on the LW with Tavares and Marner and played well. Some would argue is more suited as an okay top 6 winger than a 3C. I think a team could use him in either situation.
