I like truly doubt that gets it done. Even then John Gibson probably has Buffalo on his 10 team no trade list.
I don't think Johnson is an interest for LA at this point since Faber was just traded to Minnesota.</div></div>
Only Buffalo thinks old Middelbust has any value. Just becuase he was over drafted and did not develop does not mean he is a valuable trade chip. He has 80 pts in 195 games.

Oh lord what is this? Robertson has miles more value than Marchand, the fact that Dallas is adding is even worst.
Stars counter with Pavelski for Pastrnak, a 2nd and a 3rd.

Blues Ideal Offseason v2
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shylo_Moxii</b></div><div>well I personally wouldn't put retention apart of the deal. and no he's a 3-4D you give him way too much credit you would not get an A Potential Prospect and a First round pick in one of the 2 deepest drafts because for Claude Giroux retained at 50% with Bunnaman and Rubtsov and a 5th you got a 3rd 1st and Tippett. You got Ellis for Myers probably a lower ranked defenseman and Nolan Patrick who's basically middle 6 forward. Jeremy Lauzon got a 2nd round pick and Giordano with 50% retained and Blackwell got 2 2nds and a 3rd I think you forget what the market is actually set at. His defense stepped up a bit, but it's 1 year just as Barbashev is 1 year of production so sanheim's defense. We don't know if that is gonna be normal or not. His offense sure I'll give you that he's done very solid on offense for the past 3 seasons. But that's kind of the price range. Barbashev is a top 6 forward same age as Sanheim and moving up with a career year and is sure to be a fire sign to be great again next season. So no the difference between the 2 is not an A prospect like Perunovich, and a 1st round pick that's ridiculous and you far overrate Sanheim which I can't blame you because you are a flyers fan so.</div></div>
Ummm Giroux wasn’t retained if I’m not mistaken
We gave Florida a pick to take contracts so we could sign players
Giroux held all the cards in that deal btw
You’re definitely under valuing Sanhiem, there a reason he was plus 9 playing with Risto who was minus 9. Sanhiem is a beast
The Eliis trade was an injury prone good D for a D with solid potential who just sucked last year and an injury prone bust… both teams lost that deal lol, heck, all three teams lost in that trade
Also, maybe what I wrote came out wrong. There were Scotty P and a first offers on here from blues fans, those did not include Barb… Barb offers usually included a first and a prospect or a depth player (Scandella for instance who i see no value in but I understand he’s probably worth a mid pick, just a personal thing lol) but the prospect would usually be like a B/B- type

Pretty sure he was trying to show how awful that offer was by making a lopsided trade for the Blues..... While I don't think the Blues would ever move the future 1C, it would definitely need to be a massive overpayment!!

Why would Detroit PAY for a declining RD who is paid $6.25M until he's 37?
Red Wing's 1st RD is Seider; 2nd RD is Hronek. Paying $6.25M for an old man at 2 or 3 RD doesn't make sense at all for them.
In the next few years the Red Wings should be playoff ready not a nursing home.

Sever is a solid top 4 but probably wont get a haul like all that, and LAK is good on RHD. Cat gets WAY more, 2nd overall is the starting place but CHI would want quality not quantity, someone like holtz. Think SJ still keeps Labanc, and if hes still injured they can ltir him. Buf accepts the Bish trade if they want a body in net. Think BUf declines that Portillo trade, they dont have much in net and think theyd like one of their very promising G prospects to pan out.

So far us and tampa are the only teams who beat Colorado, and even then. If it was conference based Minnesota St.Louis Colorado was the top 3 teams in the conference. And it hasn't changed much outside of maybe a player coming in and growing. O'Reilly was shutting down MacKinnon. So I do believe we could have chance if Goaltending and defense got better.</div></div>
From an unbiased, outside perspective, I think St. Louis is still a threat. They pushed Colorado harder than anyone else this year and Colorado looks poised to win it all.
One difference of opinion though - backup goaltending isn't the problem. I think you guys need to send Binnington packing and overhaul the crease entirely if you can't re-sign Husso. I actually think Varlamov would do great in St. Louis.

I actually just looked at STL stats from last year and I did not realize Buchnevich & Barbashev had that good of a year and you guys had 9 players score 20+ goals which is pretty unheard of.
With that being said, my opinion of the team changes marginally due to a slight oversight, but I still don’t think that’s a championship team.
If Binnington stands on his head next year, that could change things. And my man that made this post was right on the money with that Chychrun trade. That would def help.
By the way, I checked the current Stanley Cup odds for next year and they’ve got STL at +1600.

Minimalistic yet Effective Blues Season
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Shylo_Moxii</b></div><div>Barbashev is probably being moved. Most likely will need a stop gap until Perunovich and Mikkola are fully ready for the big minutes. I'd obviously look at using Tucker and a couple of our other LDs in the near future such as Loof and Galloway. Pettersson doesn't exactly fit the bill as someone else likely would. I'm more interested in seeing Perron getting that or maybe even a little cheaper of a deal. Bozak is most likely not coming back another year. I think we have way too many 4th line checking centers who could fill that gap. Joshua, Toropchenko, Brown, etc. So most likely Barbashev, Bozak, out.</div></div>
Shut, sorry, I forgot about Mikkola and Perunovich. They would most likely split that time in the 2LD slot. Thanks for mentioning that but that makes so much more sense.
