I'm still a kid in my heart, even at 31 years old :D..and to answer your "40 goals isn't a bad thing" comeback, when every single one of the other players mention are improving as quickly as you or faster and putting up more points and playing more important minutes than you are, yeah it means he still has a few things to master/learn before being classified as better than these guys...nearly a PPG player lol all the others put up more than 90 pts last season and ACTUALLY contributed to the team success in the playoffs. Find better arguments to convince anyone</div></div>
You know what’s hilarious? In his draft year before the leafs won the lottery everyone said he’s a franchise player. As soon as the leafs won the lottery, everyone says he’s not even a elite player. Explain that to me? Everyone loves to hate the leafs and I don’t understand it. I know have these players listed (probably more) are better than him. But some I just don’t understand. Hall is very incosistant and is a up down player. Wheeler has been a 60-75 point guy now suddenly he gets 90. Scheifele has a slight edge on Mathews (I really like Scheifele) because he’s done PPG 2 years in a row. Mackinnon came out of nowhere this year and got 97 points. Kuznetsov again, suddenly scores 83 points.

I like every single player this guy has listed but you can not deny the fact that Matthews developed his two way game this year, was on a 40+ goals 80+ point performance. His playoffs was disappointing but so was half the teams playoffs. All leaf fans want us some respect, but we can’t get that because everyone else has some personal vendetta against us.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>MG1986</b></div><div>The Senators just want more of a sure thing. That is why the deal with the Lightning make sense, because Sergachev is young, controllable and has proven he is more of a sure thing then some other prospects, who may have been included in this deal. I'd say Glass is more of a sure thing than Susuki, but when you try to quantify any trade, extra points are usually added for the positional need and size. There are of course always exceptions and size doesn't mean everything, but the chance of success, at least as a probability goes up the more physically mature the player, which tends, for some reason, to equate to size. I do like Susuki. He is super fast and has a good hands and a good shot, he's been working on his 200-foot game as well. Still, he remains more of a one-dimensional player, especially when you stack him up against Cody Glass.</div></div>

I agree with that the lighting would win. There is a lot of risk with Suzuki compared to Glass. Suzuki hasn’t grown much this year which is concerning, which further puts a urgency and need of his two-way game development. Mean while Glass has a good two-way game, can generate offence and only really has to add 10-30 pounds so he can’t be pushed around. But what I love about both is that there RIGHT HANDED!!! Two guys who have good potential are right handed centres
