Post all star break with Muzzin no Rielly Mike Green trade
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PleaseBanMeForMyOwnGood</b></div><div>I wonder how long it will take for the average fan to understand the difference between an old school stay at home defenceman and a new age two way defensive defenceman. I am not saying Mike Green is a good two way guy, I am not sure he is. However, the mentality that TO needs some big, stay at home physical guy because you can't win without one is so off base in this era that it shocks me so many people still call for one. Every team would happily have 6 two way defenceman. Guys who can skate very well, make very good passes and handle the puck and push it up ice. Its such a fluid game in this day and age and if you can't skate and handle the puck, you can't really do anything. Go after guys who are sound defensively and can keep the puck in the hands of your team. When you have the puck all the time, you can't get scored on.</div></div>
Exactly. Toronto has too many finesse defenders.

Mike Green is Tyson Barrie level bad when it comes to playing defensively. Ceci is better than him.

Does Toronto really need ANOTHER offensive defenceman?

Mike Green offers no defensive support whatsoever. As last night's game clearly demonstrated, even with some terrible defensive play, the Leafs' offense is good enough to win them games. So while Mike Green may be a more than adequate offensive defenseman, he really is not a good fit with this club.

Nylander trade your thoughts
What's in for the Ducks? You could argue that Rakell is as good as Nylander and is much cheaper, and you want the Ducks to trade Manson too?

Nope, all kinds of nopes. While I agree Marincin is a great penalty killer, he hasn't shown that he can do much else. If anything I would just make sure the team plays with enough discipline so they don't have to kill many penalties. Also I think Carrick moving next to Rielly with Hainsey playing with or trading Garinder for something and then moving Dermott up to the 2nd pairing the Hainsey to the left side of the 3rd pair. Carrick doesn't get enough credit and hasn't been given a fair chance from Babs.
Unless Marincin outshines everyone in the preseason, he's not going to make the team.

And also if they struggle at FO circle because to rookies IT tends to happen he could step in as a Cman

This moving Marleau crap, shows so many Leaf fans know so little about the cap and the Marleau's contract. It been talking about endlessl.

Yeah and Marleau would need to agree to it as well, Why would Marleau agree to waive his NTC/NMC from the Leafs to help them out? He wouldn't.

Hanifin and Tanev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>TML2000</b></div><div>I know what the market is buddy. Remember hall for Larson? The market is good talent for good talent. What I suggested (Nylander, Pickard, Gardiner and a 1st with lottery protection) is more than fair. Hanifin was a -20 this year with 32 points. I didn’t say I want to acquire him, I’m just telling saying what would be needed to make this trade</div></div>
For some reason, Caniac2000 is really pumping Hanifan. He's at the best the Canes third best Dman . Gee let's not make him out to be the saviour for the Leafs. And really if Hanifan is so valuable to be traded, he should be traded to team that is in need of a LHD, which isn't the Leafs.

Yes bust was the wrong word. All I meant was I would want Dvorak instead of Strome. Instant chemistry with Mitch.

Karlsson Trade= Ottawa retool
I have to be the only one who thinks you don't get nearly that much for karlsson unless he has a contract extension signed in the deal. You'd have to be crazy to fork over 5 or 6 assets for 1 year guaranteed even of karlsson.
