Yeah because Yzerman traded for him to Tampa, plus his former assistant coach is now Detroit's new head coach in Derek Lalonde. bet he'd waive for Detroit long before Long Island. Why would he even want to pay those high New York taxes anyways?

Alex Killorn has a 16 team no trade list, And yeah odds are high that Seattle is one of those 16 teams.
And i don't care what the Islanders did nearly a year ago, i care about what they did last season and it wasn't pretty.

Penguins 2022
Marcus Pettersson doesn't hold much value to Detroit, He's not a top pairing LD and we've Simon Edvinsson as our 2nd pairing LD so he's basically a 3rd pairing LD in Detroit. So his worth to us is pretty much a 4th round pick.

Ottawa would get a far better player at #7 a player they desperately need then 2 so so players at #19 and #24 and Dumba. This trade would be very bad for the Sens. At least that's my take.

McDonagh isn't leaving a good thing in Tampa for Long island, Pretty much tell you that now.
And having no State income tax has nothing to do with Killorn waiving. he's not leaving the best team in hockey for one of the worst teams in hockey.

Tampas future after paul signing
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>markykins1</b></div><div>First of all Briesbois is incredible, but it would take some serious magic to be able to move McD out. Played sooo many games, older, with 4 yrs at a high cap hit. Killorn should be pretty easy. Caps should consider him...what kind of return would you expect for Killorn?</div></div>
I'd imagine Alex Killorn should get a late 2nd round pick.
Even if McDonagh was willing to waive, I doubt BriseBois could get rid of his contract without adding a major sweetener to his contract. GMs know he's in a bind and they're not taking on that contract without Picks/Prospects being added.

And Killorn sure as hell isn't waiving for cellar dweller Seattle.

Oh i totally agree i don't see him moving, With the Nick Paul signing Tampa now is officially over the cap by some $5,133,333. So moves have to be made. Probably Killorn and Sergachev are the ones who will be out the door.

I don't think it's out of the question for him to waive for Detroit, Yzerman was the one that traded for him. And now his former assistant coach is Detroit's new head coach in Derek Lalonde. he's won 2 cups and being a partner with Mo Seider could be enticing..

Doubtful Ryan McDonagh returns a late 2nd round pick, he's 33 years old making nearly $7,000,000 for the next 4 years. Probably no more than a 3rd or 4th round pick.

So Bear's coming off a $2,000,000 x 2 year deal, he's not signing for less. And Tampa isn't in any position to be throwing out any offer sheets.

McDonagh isn't waiving for Edmonton, And Julien BriseBois sure as hell isn't retaining $1,750,000 for the next four years for a guy who's never going to play again.
And zero chance of either Martin Necas or jesse Puljujarvi signing those lowball contracts.
Yeah and zero chance of Ryan McDonagh waiving for Edmonton, To only play on his offhand he's totally a LD not both LD/RD
