Winnipeg Jets signed Patrik Laine (2 Years / $6,750,000 AAV)
The best part of this is that Connor was wanting a long term deal but was waiting for Laine...Basically if he signed a 6 year/ 7.33M per year and Laine gets 7.5M on a bridge, he would be pissed....Now his long term deal can go through.

Even as a Boston fan who likes this signing... WHY FLORIDA. WHY. A line of Hoffman-Barkov-Marchessault would be lethal... ?

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>billydlyon</b></div><div>This is an amazing deal for the Lightning. To think Brayden Point is making less than Kevin Hayes
Hey Chuck- Are you paying attention? You need to stop listening to Homer and Clark.... You don't have to give every mediocre player in their late 20s 7 million a year for 700 years.</div></div>
It's a 3 year bridge deal. If this were a 6-7 year deal the $$ would've been substantially higher.

Vancouver Canucks signed Brock Boeser (3 Years / $5,875,000 AAV)
Another contract like McAvoy's last year is 7.5 Million so that's what the tendered offer will be to quality him.
I don't understand why Vancouver would do a bridge though, they aren't contending. Might as well lock him up early so it's a favorable contract when they are contending.

McAvoy is the only one of the 3 who is actually worth the contract they got, so the fact that he got LESS is insane value for the B's.

He'll be nearly 31 when this deal kicks in. What a joke. These are the exact types of deals that cripple a franchise for years. This makes the Seabrook deal look a lot better!
