Habs get the 1st pick what could be
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Kotkaniemi15</b></div><div>That would be the 8th pick in the 4th round, or 101st overall. Anyways, replace Juulsen with Leskinen or some AHL defenseman and you have a deal.</div></div>
The deal was simply to remove some cap space that is about all. I'd replace Juulsen with Leskinen in a second. I think if Juulsen can regain his health and remain healthy he'll be a far better player than Leskinen. Really I'd be willing to put Mete in instead.

is this possible?
I really do like the idea and think its a real possibility, however Montreal would need to give up more than McCarron and Fucale and Chicago's 2nd. As CritikedARMCHAIRGM said Montreal would have to give up at least Sherbek, so maybe Sherbek, McCarron, and Fucale, and /or Davidson maybe take one out and still probably a bit more. Maybe add a first in 2019 or 2020 cause if it works out who cares about the 30th or 31st pick in those years.

2017/18
Why?? Patches plays well with Desharnais, and there are no centers in free agency and at 2 mill that is very worth it. McCarron will not succeed as a center hes too slow, he needs to play the wing.

TML to contend for p/o this year
You're nuts if you think any of those trades would happen as you say. except maybe the Tryamkin for Kapanen. Brodin for Gardiner you'd need to offer at least a high pick (1st, 2nd) with him. JVR for Landeskog straight up...not on your life, again you'd need to add at least Toronto's 1st and a 2nd maybe a 3rd round pick, even then that might not be enough. Also, Fowler and 4th for a maybe never going to play again Lupul and a couple of mid to low end second round picks (45-60) in the next 2 drafts. Anaheim's GM would have to be as high as you are right now to make that deal, but then again this sight is for imagination so......hey, you never know.

Probable Line-up
Apag11.....was following you at first and agree that MaCarron would be better suited on the wing as I don't believe he is fast enough to be a center in the NHL. But then ya lost me....nobody is comparing him to Thornton....he's not even close!!!!! Or even to Backes.....COME ON MAN!!!

bishopsdad.... I agree that Mitchell will center that line but I think after MaCarron's camp he's earned the chance to start there, see what he can really do in the first couple of games. I also believe who I have listed is who will start with the team, Danault will start in St. John's.
Apag11....I have no idea what you are trying to say, it makes no sense....and really CaptainFlyntnt already addressed you .......so I got nothing to say to you.
CaptainFlynnt...I think Danault will start in the minors as he doesn't have to clear waivers and there really isn't a spot for him right now. Saying that I also can see MaCarron starting in the minors for the same reason, but as I said before I believe his camp has earned his a chance to at least start the season in Montreal. The same way I believe Sergachev could very well end up back in junior by game 9 but for the time being he's earned the right to start in Montreal. Also, I see what your saying about Sergachev playing with Emeiln and that's a good call but I think he can learn more form Markov and this way you can mitigate Markov's minutes, plus Petry (when healthy) palyed well when paired with Emelin last year. And you can always switch Emelin and Markov around during the game.

Yes I did play at very high level, in both the OHL and QMLHL and while your friends accomplishments are great for her, she does not play in the NHL therefore her accomplishments are meaningless in a discussion about what an NHLers might do. Furthermore, if she doesnt play for either the womens Canada or for the US National team program, what she has done is regional at best and therefore sorry to say but kinda meaningless when discussing NHLers. Also being in small in the best hockey league in the world is a far cry from being small in your local women or even mens league. Again you clearly dont know much about hockey........so I have to go and BTW.....Emelin would be stud in Arizona!!!

You have to be kidding.......you think if Emelin were to end up in Arizona this year in a trade for Larsson, and then therefore, there was no Larsson in Arizona you think Emelin wouldn't be playing top 2 at worst top 4 minutes..... Ok you truly know nothing about the game and I have to stop talking to you now.

No they don't....name one? Outside of their already NHL ready prospects they dont have any at all!!! Arizona has very little depth. Really, they have Crouse and Chychrun who they just drafted and are probably minimum 2 to 4 years out each......COME ON MAN!!!

Arizona is also a team trying to rebuild or build period. Offering them a big NHL ready forward in MaCarron, and an NHL 4th at worse 5ht 6th defenseman on most teams, but lets be real hes an easy top 4 or top 2 in Arizona, who's contract runs out in another two years tops, so if you don't like him he's gone. Plus a small while very talented forward in Reway and a very great defensive prospect in Juulsen. Plus 2 first rounders and a second in the next 2 years. THats a great haul for Arizona a team trying to build. by the time Arizona is ready to contend Larsson might not even be part of the team or will be a 30 year old vet. Now Montreal is giving up a lot for one defenseman who while very very good. that's still a lot to give up. Plus really I've seen some of the teams you've created and the trades that accompany them.....you want to talk about not understanding dream posts....

How do you figure its a dream post? While the idea of Arizona giving up Larsson is not probable, the trade offer it self is worth while.
