What do you think the Kings would have to give up for just Kane, and an actual Kane/Debrincat deal?

Also I’ve been wondering what a trade would look like to get both Kane and Debrincat but I think it’ll be too much. Just trade for Debrincat with similar players.
Really not a fan of trading Clarke. He’s Doughtys replacement imo but it’s Debrincat</div></div>
Yeah that number would be close for a 3 year bridge deal, but a 5+ year deal would be around 3.5 imo. Clarke, Byfield, and Kaliyev are the young players I would keep at all costs. Do you think Turcotte, Vilardi, JAD, or Anderson will make the opening day 22 man roster? I don't have any of them above the guys that are on this roster.

I thought the title would be funny enough to make people think this was an unrealistic offseason. I do think the resigning contracts are fairly close to what they will be, and which guys will make the 22 man roster from last year's team. The Kings will probably try to pick up a top 6 winger, and a top 4 LD. They won't trade for both guys, and with a bad LD free agent list they would probably pick up the winger in free agency.

Do you think the Kings would do that trade if it was agreed that jake muzzin would then be traded to the kings for vilardi, lias, and a 2nd-4th with 50% retention? I would probably take that deal. Toronto would probably have to add a Robertson/Liljegren/Sandin to make Arizona accept this deal.

Chychrun Tarasenko
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>xercuses</b></div><div>Yea no thanks
La has to add a little bit more tbh, maybe there first as well but what we really need is a top 4 defensive LD
So if tarasenko goes to LA Mikey Anderson+ has to come back in the deal</div></div>
Kings are targeting another top 4 LD to go with Anderson so he wouldn't be involved. Id add a 2nd or a C prospect outside of Turcotte/Byfield. I don't think Tarasenko will be easy to move with his NTC and the Blues not willing to retain salary. Looking ahead to next offseason do you think you would resign him or are you looking to trade him this offseason specifically for a top 4 LD.

I planned on keeping Roy but the first lines contracts got too cheap and I didn't really care about the draft capital for Roy and MacDermid. Would the senators be interested in him/how much would they give up? I picked them at random.

This is more reasonable but not sure LA gives up Clarke and Byfield in the same trade but it’s Mathews.
I say kings just wait to sign him.</div></div>
Agreed!!! the only teams I see competing with LA for him in FA are the Rangers, and Tampa Bay.

Backstrom in
Quick would have to request a trade for the Kings to move him. IMO his value is around 2 2nd rounders. His contract is expiring and unless the kings are going after a 9+ AAV forward his contract doesn't affect any long term plans. If Cal Peterson takes the net this year and Quick doesn't play any potential playoff games he might sign elsewhere next season.

I dont know about that. Assuming Toronto retains 50% in this "blow up" a 60 goal 2-way center for less than 6AAV with 2 years left would be an insanely big package. If Matthews were to give some clarity about how he feels about signing long term in LA the package would be this IMO.

Clarke
Vilardi level prospect

LA Kings Chychrun Nichushkin

I do think LA should go after Chychrun. The price will be more painful than this, but I actually think they should still go for it.</div></div>
Agreed. Anyone who doesnt think we need a great LD this offseason probably over rates our UFA's or isn't aware we have the assets and cap space to make a splash for someone to be with us through the coming cup window. I am curious to see which top 6 wingers actually make it to free agency. Id pay Nichushkin up to 5.5AAV and have a 22 man roster to make it work. I also agree that Chychrun is going to be a bidding war and it will cost more get him. I just didn't want to here from other LA fans how much of an overpayment it would be. I would exchange the 2nd for a later pick, add anderson, and potentially switch the RD prospect besides Clarke. In terms of top-6 wingers who would you target with a 6 million AAV limit? I am not sure if a power forward penalty killer, or a sniper would work best with Kopitar and Kempe.

LA Kings ChychrunForsberg
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>OldNYIfan</b></div><div>Welcome to CapFriendly in general and the cadre of hard-core Kings supporters in particular.
Matt Roy should be the last guy we're trading to "clear cap." We need him more than we need Iafallo. I'd be happy with Iafallo, Turcotte and our 2022 first for Chychrun, with maybe a little added, but those two deals give up too much for Chychrun and a pick only a few ahead of the one we've already got.</div></div>
Thanks! I should have been more careful with my words. Matt Roy is a very good roster player which is required for a Chychrun trade. I don't want to move an RD to the left so Walker or Roy should go and Walker would be very hard to move. If the Chychrun trade is an over pay in what should be a bidding war I would definitely switch Roy and Walker. Iafallo is a great player, but is basically being replaced with Forsberg. In the Iafallo trade they couldn't take on any salary so I just did picks instead of searching for LD or G prospects. Also this is mainly for fun realistically I see the kings getting Chychrun and a top 6 winger like Nichushkin while keeping Roy and Iafallo.

Big name off-season
I am surprised not to see Anderson, Grundstrom, or Durzi. They all won't except 2-way contracts. The kings also aren't going to just let them walk so what do you think they would get in return for them in terms of draft capital? Also I really like the Moore Danault Arvidsson line this season. Do you think they could fix Kopitar's line without breaking them up

Ya I am least confident in that one, but with 3 1st rounders I feel like the sabres would be willing to move one of them. I needed to move Iafallo's cap hit to make this happen. He would be a good hometown player probably playing in the top 6, PP, and PK. He has term and a decent contract. Most importantly he would actually consider resigning in 2 years. Plus JAD is a good C/LW prospect. Either way Iafallo and JAD will be moved for draft capital.

Hypothetically he has the value of a 2nd and a 3rd IMO, but I couldn't see Quick leaving this offseason. The Kings would never move him anywhere he doesn't want to go, and it seems really important to him to win another cup with Kopi/Doughty in LA. Next offseason if Peterson takes the net and Quick doesn't play in the playoffs I could see him signing elsewhere.
